The YRFI-NRFI props have been fun over the last couple of weeks, so let's try to keep the good times rolling in my free MLB picks for Friday, June 26.
See why my best NRFI predictions and YRFI predictions are calling for early runs when the D-backs battle the Rays.

Rockies at Twins: YRFI (-121)
Tomoyuki Sugano versus Taj Bradley, YRFI, what else do you need from me?
We are looking at a combined eight elite-rated hitters and six strong-rated bats, per Batters-Box current season ratings. Both pitchers rank near the bottom of the slate in ratings, while also showing poorly rated matchup ISO, wOBA, hard contact, and ground ball profiles.
Both offenses have been humming over the last few games, and with two vulnerable arms on the mound, this sets up well for early offense.
At -121, I am more than fine backing runs in the first inning here.

Diamondacks at Rays: YRFI (-116)
I have been waiting 24+ hours to fade Arizona Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen after last night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals was postponed due to rain.
Gallen has been atrocious all season long, and the first inning has not been where he locks in either, as he owns a 6.75 ERA. Opposing bats are hitting .362 with a .580 SLG and a .972 OPS in that sample.
Gallen enters today with the third worst pitcher rating on Batters-Box’s current season ratings, bringing a poorly rated matchup ISO, wOBA, hard contact, and strikeout profile to the table. On the road this season, the veteran starter owns a 7.68 ERA, 6.00 xERA, and 1.84 WHIP, while allowing a 48% hard hit rate and 11.5% barrel rate to opposing hitters.
Sure, the Tampa Bay Rays are coming off scoring two touchdowns against the Royals Thursday afternoon, but Gallen is easily the worst pitcher this offense has seen in a while.
This is a full fade on Gallen. But Rays right-hander Nick Martinez has also taken a step back over his last five starts, owning a 5.22 ERA.
- Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: RAYS, ARID
Cubs at Brewers: NRFI (-126)
One of the lowest-rated offenses on the slate is the Chicago Cubs, who come in with four poorly-rated hitters as they face the most dominant arm in baseball this season in Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers.
"The Miz" owns the top pitcher rating on Batters-Box today, backed by elite matchup wOBA, ISO, and strikeout numbers.
I am not overly concerned with the Cubs offense here. The bigger test may actually be the Brewers against Colin Rea, who has been solid to start the year with a 3.75 ERA.
Opponents are hitting just .209 with a .372 SLG and .692 OPS across 12 outings. If we get the best version of Rea tonight, we should be in a good spot.

What is a NRFI prediction?
NRFI (No Run First Inning) and YRFI (Yes Run First Inning) picks add a thrilling twist to the start of an MLB game. A NRFI pick is a prediction that no runs will be scored in the first inning. You're predicting that the starting pitchers for both teams will get through the first inning without allowing any runs, whether by striking out batters, inducing ground balls, or through solid defensive play.
A YRFI pick is the exact opposite. You're predicting that at least one run will be scored in the first inning. In this case, you’re hoping for an early offensive burst such as a leadoff walk, a timely hit, or even a home run.
NRFI and YRFI picks add excitement to the early part of a game and offer immediate gratification for those looking for a quick resolution.
