With the World Cup complete and MLB the primary sport to wager on, handle for online sports betting in New York during the week ending July 26 was the second consecutive under $400 million, which was still up 8% year-over-year.
Tough sledding
FanDuel led all online operators during the week ending July 26 with a $123.1 million handle. The sportsbook used an 8.5% hold to generate $10.5 million in gross revenue.
Aside from that June week when FanDuel won $22.6 million, this latest period is the lowest since late March 2025, when March Madness bettors won big on a lack of upsets.
DraftKings won back 7.4% on a $121.6 million handle. The $9 million in gross revenue was the operator’s worst week in the black since the end of May, and week-over-week income dipped 61%.
