International Game Technology (IGT) announced Tuesday plans to unveil its newest range of Wheel of Fortune-branded games at this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) trade show, which will take place in Las Vegas from Oct. 7-10.

IGT has produced "Wheel of Fortune" slots since 1996 and announced last year that it had extended its contract with Sony Pictures Television to continue producing branded games until at least 2034.

In collaboration with BetMGM, IGT launched the exclusive Wheel of Fortune Online Casino in New Jersey in 2023 and expanded into Ontario earlier this year.

Adding to its collection

The updated lineup will include a Wheel of Fortune video poker game, an electronic table game (ETG) solution, and a video lottery terminal (VLT). Additionally, IGT will debut 11 brand new Wheel of Fortune slots and three slot cabinets.

"In introducing the Wheel of Fortune brand to our video poker, ETG, and VLT product portfolios, we're giving our customers incremental opportunities to expand the reach of the player-favorite brand and its jackpot-paying legacy," said IGT’s president of global gaming, Nick Khin.

"IGT's G2E 2024 booth will feature a lively Wheel of Fortune-branded zone where we'll deliver the jackpot excitement and energy that our new Wheel of Fortune games can bring to every corner of their gaming floor."

About the games

The video poker installment of the Wheel of Fortune franchise will feature on the PeakSlant49 and CrystalCurve gaming cabinets. It incorporates the game show’s puzzle-solving features alongside the famous “Wheel Bonus.” Available in triple-play, five-play, and ten-play, the multi-hand video poker game can award up to 100,000 credits for a royal flush.

Built using the company’s in-house GameAce ETG solution, bettors can play the Wheel of Fortune ETG game independently or while betting on other random number generation or live table games. If the player triggers either the “Puzzle Board” or “Wheel Bonus” features, the ETG’s multi-pointer wheel will begin to turn, mimicking the wheel spin feature from the original Wheel of Fortune TV show.

Also making its global debut at the expo is Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Reels Double Diamond. The game is available on the DiamondRS Wheel cabinet and is part of IGT’s new “Ultra Link” wide-area progressive network.

Games on the “Ultra Link” network will share a $1.12 million progressive jackpot seed. The triple-threat slot also blends all three of the franchise’s most popular features: Wheel of Fortune, Cash Link, and Double Diamond.
