Hard Rock International officially launched its $350 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, making it Canada’s first fully integrated Hard Rock resort. The grand opening was held on July 3, highlighted by the brand’s iconic guitar smash ceremony.

A Major entertainment investment in Ottawa

The opening festivities began with the Canadian Tenors' rendition of "O Canada." The event was attended by notable guests, including Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Gaming, Stan Cho, Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, and leaders of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Hard Rock presented $100,000 to the Ottawa Food Bank during the event, highlighting the company's commitment to the local community. 

The hotel amenities include over 150,000 square feet of entertainment options, a 150-room hotel with 22 luxury suites, a larger casino floor with table games, up to 1,500 slot machines, multiple dining options, and the Hard Rock Cafe. Additionally, there's a performance space that can hold up to 2,200 people for concerts and other events.

"The wait is over!" said Christine Crump, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa. "We are thrilled to share this exquisite facility with our community and tourists. At our core, we are an entertainment company, and we know that our guests will feel the vibe and energy the moment they walk in!"

The project is expected to create over 600 new jobs in the market while showcasing Hard Rock’s signature music memorabilia, including items celebrating Canadian icons.
