Following a hiatus for the Ryder Cup, the FedExCup Fall resumes this week as the Country Club of Jackson hosts the Sanderson Farms Championship. The Country Club of Jackson is a par-72, 7,461-yard track that underwent a redesign by John Fought in 2008.

This course rewards strong play on the greens, as each of the top four finishers here last year ranked 15th or higher in strokes gained putting. That was the only metric in which such a trend occurred.

Below, I break down the Sanderson Farms Championship odds at Fanatics and highlight my favorite golf picks for the tourney.

Golf picks for the Sanderson Farms Championship 2025

  • Poston to win outright (+3500)
  • Grillo to win outright (+4000)
  • Smalley Top 20 (+170)
  • Fishburn Top 20 (+230)
  • Mitchell first-round leader (+5000)

Sanderson Farms Championship outright picks

Outright pick: J.T. Poston
+3500 at Fanatics

J.T. Poston’s putter was in good form to end the 2025 season. He gained strokes putting in each of his final three events, finishing T30 or better in each.

This strong putting extends beyond last season, as Poston has gained strokes putting in 13 of his past 17 tournaments. The highlight of that stretch was a T5 finish at the PGA Championship, which proved he can contend in fields far stronger than the one he’ll face this week.

Poston also has a solid track record at the Country Club of Jackson. He’s made the cut in five of his seven appearances here, including a third-place finish in 2021.

Outright pick: Emiliano Grillo
+4000 at Fanatics

Another player with a strong history at the Country Club of Jackson is Emiliano Grillo. He’s made the cut in five of his six appearances at this venue, including a T11 finish last year and a T5 finish two years prior.

Grillo also enters this week in good form, coming off a T4 result at the Procore Championship. That marked his second top-four finish over his past seven tournaments, as he continues to knock on the door of his third PGA TOUR victory.

Sanderson Farms Championship prop picks

Finishing position pick: Alex Smalley Top 20
+170 at Fanatics

Despite the course’s length, wedge play proves paramount at the Country Club of Jackson. Last season, the highest distribution of approach shots came from the 100-125-yard range.

This trend bodes well for Alex Smalley, who excels from that distance. On TOUR, he ranks 28th in greens in regulation percentage from that 25-yard range.

Smalley has finished T16 or better in each of his past two appearances at this venue.

Finishing position pick: Patrick Fishburn Top 20
+230 at Fanatics

Another strong wedge player is Patrick Fishburn. Entering this week, he ranks 24th in greens in regulation percentage from the 100-125-yard range.

He hasn’t missed a cut in his past six tournaments, including a T8 finish at the Wyndham Championship. If Fishburn can crack the Top 10 in that field, he’s certainly capable of finishing inside the Top 20 here.

Sanderson Farms Championship first-round pick

Round 1 pick: Keith Mitchell first-round leader
+5000 at Fanatics

Keith Mitchell is a fast starter and a solid bet to lead after Thursday’s opening round. On TOUR, he ranks second in first-round scoring average, trailing only Scottie Scheffler.

Mitchell finished T-3 in this tournament last year, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he carried that momentum into Round 1.
