The 2026 RBC Canadian Open returns to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley’s North Course, and the strong field heading north of the border is headlined by Englishmen Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick.
With Americans Sam Burns and Collin Morikawa also atop the RBC Canadian Open odds, this national championship is set to deliver again in 2026.
Here’s an early look at my top golf picks and course breakdown of TPC Toronto.
⛳ RBC Canadian Open: Key takeaways
- Best early bet: Sam Burns to win (+1600) – The elite putter is always a threat to pick up his sixth PGA Tour win when his ball-striking spikes like it has the past eight events
- Best early value: Alex Fitzpatrick to win (+4000) – Gained true strokes across the board during his T6 in the Memorial to keep his breakout heater going
- Course: TPC Toronto is a grueling, 7,389-yard Par 70 featuring wide fairways, four 500-yard par 4s, and undulated green complexes featuring steep runoffs
- Weather: The early weather forecasts call for warm, scorable conditions with the potential for afternoon showers every day except Saturday
- Expected cut: The 36-hole cut for the 2026 RBC Canadian Open will shorten the field to to the top 65 players and ties following Round 2

Course breakdown: TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley
TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley’s North Course proved to be a formidable championship venue last year following an extensive renovation by architect Ian Andrew finalized in 2024.
It plays as a demanding 7,389-yard Par 70, with a unique opening and closing Par 5 on the card and four of the 12 Par 4s stretching over 500 yards.
While the wide fairways allow a bombs away approach off the tee, strategically placed greenside bunkers still penalize the wrong angle of attack. And, the sheer length of the track puts long irons in hand into challenging green complexes that feature steep runoffs throughout the round.
The 2025 RBC Canadian Open is the only true reference point, and Ryan Fox won ranking second in true strokes gained tee-to-green, sixth on approaches and 16th in putting. He topped Sam Burns in a playoff, and the American respectively ranked eighth, 12th and ninth in the same metrics.
So, similar to most weeks, there’s a premium on tee-to-green play with a hot putter being a difference maker.
- Grueling 7,389-yard Par 70 featuring unique bookended Par 5s
- Four punishing Par 4s stretching over 500 yards
- Undulating green complexes featuring steep runoffs
- TPC Toronto puts a premium on long-iron play
Players to watch
- Sam Burns: The American is trending, and Burns is always a threat to pick up win No. 6 when his ball-striking spikes because he putts the lights out week in, week out
- Wyndham Clark: Following up his 2026 win with a solo-third in the Memorial reinforces Clark’s thriving throughout the bag, and I’m particularly encouraged by his approach play
Key stats & player profiles to target
- True strokes gained tee-to-green
- True strokes gained approach
- Adjusted scoring average

- Scrambling and true strokes gained around-the-green
Players to watch
- Tommy Fleetwood: The betting favorite has gained true strokes across the board and ranks sixth in bogey avoidance and 21st in adjusted scoring average this season
- Brooks Koepka: Aside from poor Par 4 scoring metrics, Koepka checks the boxes with +1.31 true strokes gained tee-to-green and ranking ninth in adjusted scoring average in 2026
