Masters Best Bet: Viktor Hovland Offering Incredible Value at 35/1

The 88th edition of the Masters tees off this Thursday, and while all the attention will be on the likes of Scottie, Rory, Tiger, and the LIV squad... bettors might be overlooking a pretty good player showing fantastic value — Viktor Hovland.

You know, the current FedExCup Champ, who finished seventh at Augusta last year and is one of the best strikers on the planet? 

Yeah, his odds seem a little bit off base — and I'm going to explain why you should make him one of your Masters picks this year.

Listen: There’s no sugarcoating the fact that Hovland’s short game has struggled in 2024... but that's the only rational reason why we’re seeing such long Masters odds for the Norwegian star.

A world-class ball striker, Hovland skipped the Texas swing to focus solely on winning his first green jacket, and if his tee game and approach play are in top form, it’ll mitigate those potential chipping woes.

Viktor has shown he loves the biggest stage

Hovland has also shown that he delivers in the biggest events; he is the reigning FedExCup winner, took down three stacked-field events this year, and finished in the Top 20 at all four majors last year — including a T7 at Augusta.

Hovland might not be able to flip a switch entirely to fend off his long-time kryptonite... but it might not even matter because the rest of his game is elite.

There’s already a gap in the available odds and I’m expecting Hovland’s price to shrink leading into Round 1. The difference in the +3,500 DraftKings price — and the +2,200 odds at Caesars — is showing around 55% positive expected value.
