What would you like in a stat search engine to help you?

Hey, I'm the creator of screwball.com, a real-time stat search engine for MLB and NBA. Within the last week I added in MLB pre-game odds (spread, ML and over/under) from 2024 onwards, so you can search for things like "Which team has the highest yield against the ML this season?" or "Which team has gone over the most times in the past 10 games?" or anything you want related to the pre-game odds.

All current odds update every 10 minutes and then all odds for played games are locked in at whatever the closing line was.

It doesn't support every type of search, so I'm wondering if there are specific types of searches or specific types of data that you'd like to be available. I'll make it happen.

I can think of a few that are helpful for sound capping purposes:

Runs scored by team for and against AT HOME

Runs scored by team for and against AWAY

Runs scored by team in extra innings  AT HOME

Runs scored by team in extra innings  AWAY

A drop down menu where we can select date ranges!! for each of these stats

Does something like this work for you:

Runs scored by team for and against AWAY between June 1st, 2026 and June 15th, 2026 (You can just edit the query from "away" to "home" or adjust the dates to your liking. You can drill into the games by clicking the link in the "record" column)

and

 Runs scored by team in extra innings at home this season (you can add date ranges or home/away to this query and it will work)

Also feel free to ask for things that you think would be hard to do if they would be helpful to you

Can it query "runs yielded by team pitching" during innings 7 thru 9  and/or 7+ (includes extras)

            AT HOME                      

              AWAY

... and sortable by specific date ranges??

Another website does this but not sortable by date ranges.  Their's is only YTD, which is largely irrelevent from this point in the year onward.  ie, Any team's stats are far, FAR MORE relevent when limited to their recent weeks performances, for example from may 01  or even May 16 until last night enough to include several home series' and several AWAY series)

I think a search like this would work for you:

 Which team has yielded the most runs per game from the 7th to 9th innings between June 1st, 2026 and June 15th, 2026

And again you can update the dates, the innings, or add in something like "at home" or "away" and it should give you exactly what you want.

You can also do something like:

 Which team has yielded the most runs per game from the 7th to 9th innings in their last 10 games

Which will normalize it by the # of games instead of dates (since obviously the schedules aren't always aligned for the teams)

This was requested by somebody else, but you can now look up weather for games from 2024 onwards, so you can do stuff like:

 Weather for games today

And then dial into that like:

 Show me the over/unders for games at Yankee stadium where the temperature was over 85 with wind over 10 mph

And of course substitute whatever particular things you are interested in.

You can search for the temperature, wind speed, wind direction and humidity for a particular game. And you have the weather and results for all MLB games going back to the start of 2024.

This sample query does not yield the results I need (which I know from boxscores is 10 runs)

In 2026, how many total runs scored during innings 7-9 against Royals in their last 4 road games?

The query is fixed.

The parser was confusing whether you wanted the pitching team or batting team as the home/away team in your query, and picked the wrong one. Now it knows better.

2026 MLB since July 2 list Dodgers game score

But now I would like to see a LISTING of the game scores at the end of the 5th inning in each of those games, please. 

I think I tried over a dozen word combinations and I can't resolve my query...

  I want to be able to query this for every team, both for HOME and AWAY, whereby the query team (ex: Dodgers) is shown in green color if leading after 5 or in red color if trailing after 5, just like it does for the full game (shown in link above)  

Secondly, how can I achieve the same query (game score results) for any starting pitcher after 5 ip?

Ok now the query works how you want, like: 2026 MLB since July 2 list Dodgers game score, include score after 5th inning

You can also say "include score after 5th/6th/7th innings" if you want to see multiple innings

Same Q is for a starter, rather than the team:

I want to be able to query for ANY starting pitcher, both for his HOME starts and separately for his AWAY starts, for the score in HIS starts at the end of 5 innings.  (note: it doesn't matter if he actually pitched the full 5 innings - maybe he got yanked earlier - but it was him who started the game.....so what was the score after 5?  Or 6? 

BTW, so far this is proving to be an EXCELLENT tool you developed!

The real-time updates for MLB pre-game odds will definitely enhance the user experience. One suggestion could be to include advanced statistics like team performance in specific weather conditions or against certain pitcher types. Also, having a feature to compare team trends over different seasons could be valuable.

Another search that works based on another request is: First 5 innings teams last 10 games

You can now ask about the first 5 inning record with whatever filters you want (at home, at a certain ballpark, with a certain starter, etc).
