Hurt just a little last night going 4-5 (44% -$150) which I'm actually not too upset about considering that if we had played every game last night (like it had been the last few weeks) it would have been a large loss for all our clients. This is a very positive sign of our system and only going with games that have a > 60% chance of winning. (might not make sense today but just watch the next few days/weeks). We are still +$582 for this month!

I will try and answer your question although Veripicks will be best suited...
The picks being sent out are only 60% or higher. Yesterday the system went 6-12 to finish down $130. In large part because it hit Bowling Green on the ML at +650. Now, that is a bit misleading, because I did much better than finishing down. The ML play was actually sent as a max bet, whatever the max bet for a person is. However, the current system only adds up each play as the same unit for each bet, so in all reality if you bet the system plays yesterday you would have come out ahead. Hope this helps!
On a side note: I am not sure what fixes would need to take place in order to show that days standings to accurately reflect the days W/L amounts, but it according to my records we hit the bigger plays at a higher percentage so it would be better for the system to throw that in, although I think it accurately adds up the units for the YTD standings.

Why not play all the games? It's consistently shown that it will win over the month. If you played every game it gave out you'd already be up $962. We've found that if you only offer a few games per day, clients will go ahead and put in their own plays anyway. So why not give enough plays that everyone stays interested and will win consistently. This isn't a tout chasing it's money - it's a system that points out games with a high probability of covering.

I would guess that this is a factor in less than 5% of the games it selects. Look at Monday night, Veripicks had Oregon +2. If you bet it at the sportsbook/local you either got Oregon +3 or +3.5 at game time. We took the loss because that's what our system had - so it goes both ways. Tony - are you a member of Veripicks? I would have thought I'd told you this before...

The free pick is put out by us (not machine picked) about 6:00 EST every day. It will be based on Veripicks leans at the time - which may or may not end up being a Veripicks play.
Wednesday night was Syracuse / St Johns Over 133 - we reformatted the page today and didn't update that day correctly.

We added in one more betting statistic that we've been using ourselves for the last 2 weeks. You can now see live data on how many bets are currently being placed on each side of the line. This information is not available anywhere except on Veripicks!

I think this is a pretty neat statistic to track because it shows we aren't in it for sportsbooks revenue and it shows how much the picks are paying if you use them daily.
Just like covers and all the other sites we would get paid revenue sharing if our users would lose - but isn't it so much more fun taking the money from them???
We (development team) play all the plays that Veripicks chooses so we will continue to bust our ass to maximize returns on solid picks. This is a system that if you follow it for the long run (don't unload your account tonight) and bet with rigorous money management - you will turn a profit from the sportsbook. Just look at the stats on the front of the site - numbers don't lie.

For example, the old system yesterday had over 25 plays while we only got 17 when we add in the new data. We have no way to predict how many plays it will come up with everyday but you can take a look at the watchlist 20-25 minutes before a game begins you will know what it's plays will be 95% of the time. It might add one late but in your case you'll just have to let that one go or pull over to play it.
We've considered many options for our users to make it easier to get the plays but to maintain our level of win rates this is the only option we have right now. What we usually do it login to our sportsbook account 10 minutes before the game begins and select the lines on the watchlist that it has coming up. Once it releases the lines, then we go ahead and place the bets. That way we aren't trying to do everything in the last 10 minutes.
Remember, we are playing against the public on our plays. So we want that line to stretch as far as it can before we bounce on a dog or an under or whatever. That way the public gives us more room for a win when we play it right before the game begins.

The watchlist updates every 5 minutes with the plays that Veripicks is going to play - it allows you to "watch" what it's thinking.
