Adding just a few stray plays.Mil.,Oak.ML.If Minn.does not get pp i will take them on the RL.Still sticking with Tor.ML.Passing on the NYY/BOS game.Bol to all tonight.

So have we made it official for the POD yet?
SD ml or MInn rl or do we hedge and take both Minn rl with SD ml as PODs?

Millwood is 0-7 vs. Minn but rain delay could throw a wrench in the pitching match up with earlier than usual changes. And a RL for Minn might not be a good idea after all.  If the game is shortened, Minn does not has less innings to score yet still win.

my stray plays  Philly, Yanks ( gr8 price and bad Bos BP), Cards on the RL( Carpenter is 11-1 vs.Pitts. I also think StL PR rating should be higher if not for playing Philly and Halliday yesterday)  Also looking at KC. Grienke finally should win his first game and KC scored a lot last night. KC would have won the game 1 if they had not given up those early lines.

Cap- concerned with Oak bc I would not bank on predicting TB's next loss; even though I don't see them sweeping Oak like they did Seattle. 
I looked at Angels with Weaver ( he is 8-3 vs Seattle) but they just played yesterday and traveling from east coast in one day! Compound that with Seattle string of losses! very hard to say.

Tor/Cle (Tor was the greater ranked team and should win the series)

NYY/Bal (NYY was the greater ranked team and should win the series)

LAA/BOS 4game series

KC/CWS (CWS was less ranked team but the Rankings are close and cant determine if they win the series or not...wait for game 3 rankings)

DET/MIN (MIN was greater ranked team but the Rankings are close and but MIN should have the edge to win the series by the ranking numbers)

TX/OAK pending;

TB/SEA

STL/PHI 4 game series

NYM/CIN (CIN was less ranked team but the Rankings are close and cant determine if they win the series or not...wait for game 3 rankings)

AZ/HOU (AZ was greater ranked team but should have enough differential to win series)

COL/SD (COL was less ranked team and should win the series)

MIL/LAD , SF/FLA ( i took SF in the last game anyway but if you would have played blindly you would have lost), CHC/PITseries, and ATL/WAS

 

Thought I posted before...    If you just play games where for instance Greater Ranked team wins Game 1; Less Ranked ream wins Game 2; and YOU POUND GAME 3 on the GREATER RANKED TEAM you the trend drops to about 60% you will win...so you do have to put a lil' thought into it..

This past series was similar to some series earlier in the season where there was a crazy number of sweeps regarding Greater Ranked or Less Ranked teams...   BUT the TREND WAS ABOVE NORMAL this past series...I think only 2 out of the 12 series lost so 10 out of 12 is not bad...   

I am still trending and lookin for a way or reason why this trend is happening but like most trends they just happen you gots to recognize and ride it until it goes away you know!

My icons didnt come through but SF/FLA and TEX/OAK did not follow the trend.   Every other 3 games series did!!!!   10-2 !!!!

 

Another trend tonite is TB/OAK     2 lefty starts in the AL are 13-3 this season on the under...    80%!!

took SL as RL and ML with more on ML.  too many Stl errors ruined a 2 run win. Pitts is a pesky team... very difficult to figure out.  They are like free radicals.

PPD : twins/orioles and tigers/indians

Saturday games : yankees, cards, twins,tigers, should win cause good pitchers and good power rating

TOR on the road is hard to ignore. I went for Wsox yesterday and got beat up.. i thought Buehrle (Lefty) would be able to shut out the worst bats vs leftys (.173), but then the bullpen stepped in &.... GG!
wont be making that mistake again...

SDG has been on fire lately and Houston.. not very hot...

TB looks good as usual, but OAK isn't too bad at home.

MIN game 1 Liriano vs Millwood seems like an easy pick, but gotta check to see if weather is gonna act up in the morning....

TB & TOR - I really like these teams on the road, but again they gotta lose sometime.  Each team throwing a rookie (who are both pitching really well, but are still young) makes today at least a bit more of a possibility.  I especially will avoid betting against Peavy who threw a gem his last start (7 shutout innings, 4 H, 1 BB, 9 K vs KC) and may be rounding into old form.  I can't argue with anyone betting against Sheets for OAK, but remember he's a much better pitcher at home (2.12/1.35/.220) than on the road (13.50/2.63/.446). TOR ML is +115 though...pretty good value there considering CWS hits just .217 vs lefties (although they do have 11 HR).

Gonna skip the PHI game too.  Blanton just coming off the DL, may need another start or two to get into a groove.  ATL throwing Kris Medlen who was a top pitching prospect when called up last year & has been throwing well out of the bullpen this year.  I expect PHI to win, but there's a little more unpredictability in both pitchers to be sure.

I like SD, but Garland's stats are deceiving.  If you take out his one aberration (10 K, 3 BB vs FLA), he's got 17 BB against just 13 K on the year.  Right now, teams are batting .220 against him but his career BAA is .274.  Shows he's been a little lucky so far.  Now HOU doesn't look like they could hit a slow pitch softball, but they can't lose every game.  Felipe Paulino IS pretty bad though.  Another bet I may skip, but I certainly can't argue with anyone taking it.

Looking at Liriano & MIN to avenge that Game 1 loss at home.  No line posted on my book yet.  Weather looks good though (55/sunny).

Millwood - 12 starts vs MIN - 0-7, 5.90, 1.76, .328

Looks like MIN shouldn't have a problem covering that RL.  Leaning that way as my POD, but still like SD too.  HOU is just so bad offensively - without one of their top starters on the hill, they're starting the game with a disadvantage.

interesting too that Minn RL was 1.30 last night vs. 1.15. ( obvious shift reflecting Baltimore's extra day rest)

Minn 2.30 ML and 1.15 RL  at my SB.

OK I just booked MIN RL and SD -1...I like them both.  For a POD though, I think MIN RL is the better of the two.  MIN home, lefty ace on the hill, avenging home loss against a 4-13 road team...not only are they the better team but all the peripherals favor them as well.

SD is a good team, but that bet is more of a HOU mush.  Worst offensive team by far throwing one of their worst starters...Berkman is talking about waiving no-trade clause, Lee talking retirement when contract is up.  No one there is focused, they're a mess.
