Well at least one of us will make money because I am leaning OKC ML as part of my parlay- thinking of re doing the last parlay and teasers that were busted by the incompetent lakers.

The picks u r making doesn't seem the "usual" SportsMavin plays. And I'm not saying that bcs they aren't hitting but bcs I'm more than half of the times lately wonder...wtf did he pick that spot? Seems contrary to what you believe when capping games....
You may be right. I may be forcing contrary to my philosophy and that is a lesson to be learned by everyone. Even if it costs me - good point to bring it up.

Why the nuggets why detroit? RLM on OKC? are any key players out or playing the fatigue factor- I think DET has not played since thu I think they might be a bit off on their shooting but my day so far is -110

those teams scored 185,4 average in their last 15 meetings, so it's gonna be close but I think under is the play since line was set lower than my calculation showed it should be...
GL to all
LAL-TOR UNDER 202 - loss
my second pick is:
BOS-DET UNDER 184

Yeah man your write ups really helped me personally...
For example: the other day I had an early morning shift and didn't have time to do any capping or place any wagers so I was on my phone at work looking at the match ups and noticed the line in that Orlando/Indiana game... First thought was wow I should hammer Indiana... Then I considered the advice you shared and reluctantly rolled the dice with Orlando... Worked like a charm.
This is the first year I've really tackled NBA betting seriously and I never considered that lines try to suck you in and what not. Glad I've learned it now though... As obvious as it should have been.

I also want to thank you Mavin - I used your favourite "teaser/parlay method" today on NFL and picked UNDER in both games (teaser +7 pts). It worked with SF(under 55), and now it looks promising in NE game (under 58)...
PS. where now is this guy who said you shouldn;t buy points on totals...

Back to the basics of handicapping. Working on tomorrow's NBA during the NFL game commercial breaks.
Memphis - Indiana, two best defensive teams face each other with a very low totals line which even came down a point to 173. With Memphis -7 - that makes it a projected score of 90-83. Very sharp. No advantage on totals here. Leaving it out. How about the spread - can I believe that this low scoring affair will be with that big of a margin? No. Indiana is a lean with that high of a spread. The line was released at -6 thou and adjusted to -7 by the books. I'd lean Indiana here. Now let's see what the teams did ATS wise lately. First of all Memphis is 23-15-1 while Indiana 21-20. Already a point for Indiana. The Pacers also are 2-3 ATS in last 5 while failing to cover against Charlotte, Orlando and Brooklyn. The Grizzlies are also 2-3 ATS, but covered the last two. Another point for Indiana.
Leaning Indiana.
If you want to work on totals - wait until the refs are announced for this game.

New Orleans - Sacramento, I clearly like Sacramento here for a reason of a let down in NO after a strange loss to the Warriors which was a real good performance in sake of the books for grabbing the live bettors' money. That takes a toll next game usually and Sacramento as an underdog of 7 points is a very attractive shopping option. I believe in Cousins showing up against the Hornets. ATS wise - Sacramento is 17-13-1 while the hosts are 21-19. The Kings lost 4 ATS before covering the last one in Charlotte. The Hornets are 3-2 in last fives while not covering the last one. Those both points go to Sacramento. So, spread wise - I'd say Sacramento, totals - I'm staying out as both teams are very unstable in that department. The books project the score of 99 - 92 Hornets. Don't know about that.
