I'm so happy Shumpert is back in NY. I love his tenacious defense, JR Smith and Shumpert should get a lot of steals and create fast break opportunities...now we got all are depth back besides Wallace....hopefully they can create a good starting 5, mixed with are 6 man Smith and the rest of are depth, and start all gelling together as a unit...

I can say in the name of all the Canadians - we're happy.

If you ask me, I have a hard time understanding why NHL and NFL could not be played throughout the whole year. First teams, reserves - just play.

NFL is a short season because of the beating you take- if it's any longer and they are planning on extending playoffs then it creates more opportunities for injuries.

The NHL i have no clue.

Miami wasn't toying with the Lakers. They had no answer for the Laker rebounding edge all night. Other than Lebron and Wade, no one else for the Heat could make a basket. Lakers shot themselves with 1H turnovers and poor FT shooting. Lebron hit some clutch shots at the end of the game, but this was hardly an easy win for them.

I just love today's card and have many games circled.

My leans so far are:

The Raptors +4. Something is very fishy about this Sixers team. They either want to replace the current management or simply have no motivation to play up to their abilities. The Raptors are quite opposite and play with heart.

The Nets -6. They are playing well enough at home to win against the Hawks who are very unstable team.

The Warriors +7 first half (I assume that will be the line, but I'd take anything from 6 and up). The Spurs are a fourth quarter team.

The Spurs 4th Quarter -4

You're totally right about the sixers. And that's what I hate in american sports, the players have too much power and 90% of them have that ghetto mentality (me me me me, I'm a multimillionaire but I also want to be a superstar...). Jesus just play ball!!

And specially in the NBA most of the coaches don't seem to have the "REAL" authority. Why the fkk is like that?

Today I don't see any "obvious" fishy lines (in totals) - maybe HOU-IND should be higher because of Houston scoring potential and their last 4 seasons meetings (avg 213 points!), but also big factor is IND defense. And this opening suggest me to bet UNDER which will probably be a public bet also, so... still thinking...

We are still waiting for BOS and MEM lines. According to my reaserch it should be BOS at 186-187 , and MEM 196-198... we'll see what to do when they show up...

I still have not looked at the lines but I think OKC is playing very well and Dallas while at home I think is not a four quarter team- they either play hard to close the half or to start the second half then they lack the speed to keep up with teams like OKC and the CLIPS- I will add however that I had OKC as part of a teaser right before new years where the Mavs were up quite a bit then OKC came back to catch them and the game ended up in OT- that was 12/27/12 at OKC- I am thinking of the over in Denver because both teams are very capable of scoring 100 pts and I just don't see either of them playing defense I say layups and 3s all over the place, that being said I don't think I can pick a spread there. Hawks and Nets just had an interesting game wed which was pretty much lob sided- now they switch courts- maybe the home team wins again who knows- as for the spurs I don't know is curry playing? if not it could get ugly with 3s raining all over the place for the spurs- I will look at the line movement-

CHA-ORL line (now at 199,5) looks really tempting... since it opened about 4-5 points higher than I expected and it's going up though public is betting under here...
Is there something we don't know? My lean is OVER.

Any thoughts?
