Significant hole to fill on Eagles OL
Tuesday, Oct 06...
Philadelphia Eagles two-time All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson *UNexpectedly*announced his retirement Tuesday, ending a 14-year career spent entirely in Philadelphia.
Johnson, 36, who is considered one of the top offensive tackles in the NFL, was a surprise inactive on Sunday with the Eagles saying it was for personal reasons.
Johnson has made the Pro Bowl six times in his career.
