I parlayed Den spread and over just as a reversal of their last meeting when it came down to the buzzer- I knew this time it would come around only $50 to make $115 I did this because i had a feeling the over on OKC may not hit- I do have them winning straight up as part of one of my open spots with the pats bet lets hope that works out.

Don't know if you guys are still hating parlays but here is an update... 6 spots to go. I could have probably filled it up today with some of the picks I have made correctly which are over 6 but I have lost some of the picks also so could have messed it up. I almost put OKC here but put it on a separate one with Pats any help in coming up with some picks is appreciated.

I have nothing against parlays. I just don't think long parlays are profitable in a long run. However - you seem to use the "open spot" feature which seems interesting scientifically speaking. I did not see such feature with bet365 or pinnacle. What book do you use? And do you have a clear record of how are you doing on parlays in a longer period of time than few days?

Hey Mavin, Any slight leans on tomorrows card? I'm liking the looks of Memphis... Seems like the oddsmakers are just inviting people to bet the Clippers.

    What do you think man?

I use BM - I could go through my history and compile data for you- I started using the open spot recently- started getting heaving into parlays when the NFL season began this year- because they offer something called Parlay Cards which are set odd but you can't push because that is graded as a loss- they offer Teaser Cards also- same deal can't push- but $1 for 10 team Parlay Card pays $600-

I do know that I am quite a bit on the Parlays since I went heavy on them in November- But when I copy the data of the history it tells me is too many characters I would have to copy and paste and delete all the spaces.

The idea of the open spot occurred to me as a way to play the college bowls- since those lines move a lot- and sometimes not available right away- This 10 teamer assuming standard juice should have paid about 23k but the first was a push and as you can see I always buy the points. They are kept open for 90 days. My idea is to make small parlays and filter out the ones am really feeling and add them to the list- I think the way you make picks you can start the day with one for $50 and then keep adding slowly while still making your straight bets.

I was sort of wishing for the same but my bigger bet was on OKC pulling of the win and another bet for them to cover 6 points and they just blew up in the last .40 secs-

I follow portland a lot from a betting stand point and they always always come back in 2h against good teams- I was hoping the trend would end with Mia this week and and also today-

Who says hes going to be a tout? And this thread isn't just about his picks... Its about smart handicapping... Even the best go through cold streaks... This business is so up and down.

It's unfair to jump on the guy as soon as he hits a little rough patch.

the biggest thing about betting is keeping your composure....compounding losses....the difference between a lot of good cappers-is of course hard work....but more then that
when you have a bad day, not going and worrying about getting it all back at once...because if you took that thought process everytime- you will eventually no matter how much money you would be up, at one point...
lose it all...when i lose a few games...i'm never worried, it just pushes me to do the next right thing....etc...
i get excited when i win...but that's only to keep betting enjoyable for me...after doing it for so long-it becomes so natural as a job
I always remain humble, in getting better
i also get mad when i lose....but only for a half hour at most...and i use that half hour to push me to work harder tomm, without using the thought process of "i need this money now"...i'm always even..but i do like the money...but at this point, if i was a loser at betting, i wouldn't continue doing this as a job....you have to remain at an even keel whenever you make any bet.....

Hey dude, do you have any leans for tomorrow? The Memphis line kind of jumps out on me... The books know Rudy G-ay is out and the line is still -3 for Memphis.. Thoughts?

and the thing is the reasons i get mad when i lose.....is because this is how i make money....i take it very seriously...but a half hour at most....and usually more like a few mins...but if i'm not feeling it one night, i take the night off sometimes....and during the few mins that I am mad, i dont make one bet....now i'm not saying I don't ever do it...everyonce in a while i do...but then later, I reflect and say to myself, I made that bet because I felt like I needed to get money in that spot....and I learn from it...

the biggest thing i realize after seeing this thread and hearing from Mavin....is he always knows how to keep his composure at an even keel...in betting and with people...which is a good combination,

and when I say I know Mavin has been up over time...and cashes out every month...it isn't because I personally know him at all...It's because I know from a betting standpoint, the way winners act in most spots...and most importantly: the patience it takes to win over time...

I think im going to join this thread daily. yall all have a very posotive attitude, and i truly believe this is what i need to be apart of. i won 4000 last week, and this week am down 2200, just being greedy. i need to become part of something that is trying to help others.

greed screws me a lot. for a future reference i dont care for punctuation on a gambling forum but im a smart guy, i just get out of hand and chase, unfortunately i am going to do that tomorrow, but with a couple good picks.

tonight after splitting nfl i came into nba

early i took raptors over 192.5 win.

later i game in and bet pacers +5 loss

i had 1 good read on a late game and bet on okc under fh and game 2 separate plays.

they were the only two i liked. but then came the chase.

i added golden state halftime ml just because the odds were nice @ +250 so that negated my profit from my okc under fh.

so instead of letting the okc under ride and still win 1 unit i chased with

    cavs+10 loss

added okc over 2nd half going for a greedy middle loss

and added lakers over 2nd half win

so i lost juice on the day instead of just taking my two best plays and winning 2 units , or even stopping after the golden state play and winning one. makes me sick to know how much a negate by doing this.

hope to take on a new approach and i will start posting plays in here.

I think im going to join this thread daily. yall all have a very posotive attitude, and i truly believe this is what i need to be apart of. i won 4000 last week, and this week am down 2200, just being greedy. i need to become part of something that is trying to help others.

greed screws me a lot. for a future reference i dont care for punctuation on a gambling forum but im a smart guy, i just get out of hand and chase, unfortunately i am going to do that tomorrow, but with a couple good picks.

tonight after splitting nfl i came into nba

early i took raptors over 192.5 win.

jgjtrapboss....hey realization of your problem...is the biggest step in changing your betting patternss....

but hey remember be happy, you finished up in a week in a half, and yes if you feel like you forced bets, to chase back your money, then yeah you should work on changing that

but remember you didnt lose anything....your always where your at right now..and also..your up 1800 from last week...if you keep that in mind, when you make your next bet...instead of forcing the next bet, to get what you had back....something tells me you will be just fine......
