That's one of the main reasons why I took LSU in the first half.
But before I did I had to look at Beanie Wells of Ohio St to see if LSU can match up with his running game. IMO Dorsey will be double teamed as usual so that should open up the other LSU defenders to stop the running game.
IMO Long layoffs normally puts a lot of rust on a QB's arm.

Bigdaddy....looks like your local is sticking it to you at -2.5 for the half, but it makes me even more confident in my intended play of LSU -1.5 at the half....I think it will come down another half point before game time so I'll wait a bit before I send it in. I also like LSU for the game, but can't decide on the O/U, so I'll leave that alone.

It seems that way but it always isn't.
As I explained before I use many factors that involve my 1st half plays but too much to list.
But one example this past weekend...
I took the Jags at the half not on the final. 1st half play cleared not the final. I took into consideration a playoff game at home for the Steelers, they did come back from being down to the Browns earlier this year at 21 points if I'm not mistaken, Steelers has had trouble covering ats at home in the first half in certain situations, Pitt running game was lost without Parker and need to look for Ben and his inconsistent passing game which I think the Jags were ready for, etc,etc,etc, you get the point.
Basically if I posted all the resons why the guys in here would doze off before the game is played
My philosphy on games if you like the favorite why not take them at the smaller spread at the 1st half? unless they are a terrible 1st half team.
I take dogs on the final at times like them with the bigger spread in certain situations but I do take good 1st half dogs as well.
Notice that my local has the 1st half line at 2.5 and everyone else at 1.5? Yeah! my local loves me but no matter if I lose he ain't getting all of his money back from this game.

I think the LSU defense will be healthy enough to keep the Buckeyes to a low scoring effort in the first half. Both teams will feel each other out in the first half and you will see the unders coming through. If I had top pick the game, I would go with LSU winning 24-17.

I do beleive that they might have a good chance at pulling this one out or at least covering. Tressel is great at making adjustments. I'm just thinking that LSU will come out strong at home.
Also think that if Tressel motivated his team with the Ohio St/Florida game how do you think LSU feels when a lot of people feel that they should not even be in this game?? If I was playing for LSU I would be fired up as hell

Ohio State has players that dealt with the hype last year, but not in this hostile of an environment so I think nerves will still be a factor, especially for both QB's. I think thats going to lead to turnovers and some big special teams plays that will push this one over. Oklahoma was supposed to stop the WVU running attack with their D line and that didn't happen because they faced quicker competition than they had faced all season. LSU seems to have the better athletes but I'm not completely sold on Flynn or Perriloux so I think they could keep the Buckeyes in the game with some crucial turnovers. I just think in the end if Ohio State wins they're scoring at least 27 and will win a close game and if LSU wins its going to be a rout.
