Seven unit play on LSU minus four. Ohio State will play with intensity, but LSU is back at full strength. When they were healthy earlier, they looked unbeatable. OSU hasn't beat a Top 20 team all year, so they may be good, but after watching the Illini get destroyed in the Rose, what could give you confidence about them? LSU may not be the best team in the SEC, but should be good enough to beat OSU. It might be a struggle, and it wouldn't be a shock if OSU were to win, but LSU is stronger and deeper.
I think Perilloux may be an effective change of pace for Flynn, and Hester is money on short yardage. Doucett is a playmaker, and Holliday is a threat anytime he touches the ball. No imagination on OSU's offense, so LSU should be able to hold them under 20. Lay the points, but always bet with money you can afford to win. This is money I am up from the bowls alone, still got the season's winnings for the pro playoffs. Good luck to the LSU backers. We should be celebrating in less than 4 hours!

I agree with bd, the 1st half line is good assuming 2 things.
1) There is a clear better team
2) The teams are prepared for the game. (meaning it is a big game)
I think both are true here for LSU. I will take LSU 1st half. I have a 2.5 as well. But, I have a unique situation in that I can play HT ML. I will do this with LSU. I have an 8 team parlay with 6 winners and that will be #7.
Unfortunately, I disagree with bd and some others on the total. I think it will start out slow. Likely staying under in the 1st Q and maybe in the 1st half. I expect LSU to run ahead with OSU kicking a few FGs. Maybe something like 17-6 at half. I think they will make some adjustments and put at least a couple TD's on the board in the 2nd half. The problem for OSU is that they won't be able to hold back LSU's athletes. They will have to outscore them. Who knows if they will be successful. But, one thing is certain, if you think OSU is going to win, you better take the over.
My plays - All modest after an all win Sunday. Ranked in order
1) LSU 1st half - ML
2) Over in 2nd Half (assuming 27 or less points scored in first half)
3) 1st Q under

another interesting stat i saw in Newsday today....
turnover margin is: LSU (+18) Ohio St. (-1)
also...an interesting match-up that doesnt seem to have been focused on....but Ohio St. offense vs LSU defense......will ohio st. be able to move the ball effectively during this game and score enough????

PlayingAngels - I had put in the 4-team parlay and LSU straight up before the bowls began, so to me, it just makes sense to hedge the LSU with the teaser and hope for the middle, as long as it stays under 55, the worse I can do it lose $600, and the best is win $6900 - good luck! I see a couple of possibilities 27-17 or 24-17 I hope I'm on the right side of it tonight.......... and as this game ends.... I know.... I will be bored for another 8 months, waiting to do it all over again next season.....
