Went with the teaser as just a part of my picks...will post my whole card before game time when it is final.  Been making money off of teasers this playoff season, so I could honestly give two craps if you think they are a bookies "wet dream"  I did enjoy your in-depth analysis of "when was the last time the Pats covered in the Super Bowl?"  That would be in 2001 when they upset the Rams. 

Now to the exciting analysis of "my team is better than your team" by Spytheweb.  Yes, the Patriots ran for a total of 44 yards in Week 17 vs. the Giants.  What I really want to know is where you are coming up with these stats saying the Giants were able to run and pass the ball with no problems.  You can check the box score for what really happened in that game.  The Giants had 79 yards rushing between Jacobs and Bradshaw and 237 yards passing.  The Patriots passed the ball for a total of 356 yards...quite a considerable advantage I would say.  Brady had no turnovers, there were no fumbles, and the Pats won the Time of Possesion 36-23.

Those are the facts.  Do the Giants have a better punter?  Yup, by far actually.  And its probably a good thing because he will have to punt 3-4 times more than the Pats punter more than likely.  Don't really need a great punter when you punt twice a game!!

Of course, if the Giants win, I will be the first one on here to congratulate them on the most incredible playoff run in Super Bowl history, give them props for coming up with the biggest upset in the Super Bowl....and being the only team to beat the Pats this year.

But looking at the teams on paper, and their previous meeting...I believe the Pats will win.  I teased it because I see an 11-13 point win.  The spread is right there, and I see no reason whatsoever to be sitting at the end of the game screaming for a lousy field goal or two point conversion to sway it one way or another.  I'll take my 1-1 odds on the 2-team teaser and double my money.  thank you very much.

Hey, i seen this movie before. Pats are 1-7 ATS, Brady threw 3 ints against SD, who's QB was missing, who's #1 RB was missing. Giants are 7-1 ATS.
GB- how is NY going to cover their 5 WR spread, banged up secondary, Farve at home, the weather. Dallas- beat them twice by 10 and 11 points, Dallas led the NFL with more plays of 20 yards and longer, Dallas 12 probowlers NY 1. TO the Giant killer. TB- teams who played NE the week before are 4-11 following week. Good defense @ home, Garcia another Giant killer, who do you trust, Manning or Garcia.

NE pretty much expects to win this game, much like Dallas did. They are fat, happy and ready for the slaughter. The 21 points NY scored on NE were the most scored against them all season.
I hope NE keeps that i'am not worried frame of mind. So after the game they'll be saying what happened? Where'd he go? Where did who go?

Like i said i seen this movie before, things are not the same, anytime the hunter get captured by the game.

 

They won by 3 getting 14 and Brady was the QB after Bledsoe was hurt in week 2 I believe.

Does anyone know the Pats record under Belichick when they meet an opponent for the second time in a season?

I believe the Pats are almost undefeated in these situations.

Vegas rarely loses in big games vs. the public.  Right now the public $$ is still 75% on the Giants.  Meanwhile the spread still sits at 11.5-12.  I expect it to even out some, as many Pats bettors are waiting for a point to shave, but we will see how much Vegas is all over the Pats covering.  Right now they seem to be.

I'm interested in a little prop bet action on the MVP. Three options I like are:

Randy Moss +800
Wes Welker +1100
Junior Seau +3300

I'm definitely going to put at least a token amount on Junior.  I expect him to have a huge game, and don't be surprised if you see a pass go his way in a goal line situation, much in the way Vrabel has been used in the past.  It's a longshot, but I like the odds.  Otherwise, Welker and Moss are good bets.  WR Deion Branch won it in 2004, and Brady 2x before. 

BigDaddy that is a neat show of the snow in HI.  Nice to see a peaceful post amid this sea of posturing.

Com'on dude.....don't come on here calling people out......when you don't have the guts to put what you think in an organized, backed up train of thought.  Tread a lillte lighter on your disagreements with people.......that's why this forum is here.......to share information and talk about different perspectives........but don't just call someone out and then not ever add to the thread......there are other places on the net for that crap. 

Seriously, though, I would be interested to see what your opinion is.......as long as it isn't just another slam on me or another person in here who has earned some credability.  Not saying I have any......but my man Wise has in my eyes.......and I'm sure in some others.

I may have to adjust my score based on what happened the last time someone on the other team was shit-talking about the Pats.
