Did you ask your boss to possibly report to NJ Unemployment that your job position was cancelled and therefore you were laid off instead of quitting where you are sol? If your boss is that cool you could even piece him off a bit on the deal if he agrees.

As far as the IRS goes,next year you are going to have to file some kind of tax return.If you declare professional gambler/self-employed better keep a daily log.Miles driven,bets won/lost and also back yourself up picking up clean losing tickets for that day to minimize your income.Keep them all in weekly envelope.

Bottom line is don't F with the IRS.I cashed a $3000 Trifecta ticket that I did not report as add income and 3 years later they caught up with it..So I owed the orig taxes +interest and got a nasty letter threatening to seize my bank account.3 friggin years later.

So do you have a place to stay locked in yet? Got a temp P.O.Box? Checked out NV DMV yet? Switching from NJ car insurance to NV and also transferring Title if there is a lien on your car?

been all year in college foot and nfl   57% and 60% respectively in both.

been winning for years. time to get it done in vegas tho... and more importantly will be basketball season

I have an apartment i think looks great in Summerlin but I feel I should probably see it first before i agree to a lease.  So thinking of just staying at the Hooters by the strip for $50 a night and then checking out that apartment and others.

I found a great apartment complex in Summerlin I really like...  Rent for a two bedroom is around $1040  which is fine for me

I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't mind cheering for the underdog and someone daring to dream, but then the guy kept talking and the more I read the more it sounded like he will be living a nightmare very soon.

I got a little scared for you when you said " pros don't go on the runs I do ". Everyone goes on runs. The keys are discipline and consistency and with you being a self-confessed alcoholic and party animal you are obviously already lacking the discipline part.

I'll be cheering for you but something tells me that the dream will be short lived. But hey, that's better than not trying to live a dream at all. Best of luck to you.

Good luck man, you are in for a tough road and the only way you will make it is by getting some extremely lucky breaks and then be disciplined.

I've seen longer shots hit in wagering, so it's not undoable but in my opinion you need a couple things.

1. At least 10 Yeats sports gambling experience, practicing in winning and capping.

2. Excluding living payments like Rent, Insurance, etc..... You need a starting Bankroll of at least $50,000.

Best of luck mate. Seriously, what's the worst that can happen? You blow your dough and you have to return to living/working in the real world with the rest of us stiffs. You can still keep on gambling as a part time earn for yourself while working full time. It obviously won't be as glamourous but if you are as a good as you say you should be able to use it as a part time gig and put some cash away.

At least you are giving it a shot and won't die wondering. The crappy jobs and the real world will always be there.

I had to do the vid today just based on excitement.  i havent been able to sleep at night been so excited.  Last day of Work next friday the 16th....  Wanna enjoy conference titles games and pack that weekend.   Prob leave MLK day or Tuesday the 20th...  more detail as we get closer.

Going to be more selective out in Vegas as I will no longer be bored and disgusted at my job..  no excuses, but that was part of the problem with baseball last year.. betting every game in site... i still went 20 games over .500 even tho had a losing baseball year.

my winning %'s are not the problem... i always have a good win %. the bet amounts will be interesting in vegas..  This is betting for a living once i am out there
