But on a serious note, I always thought it was pointless to include his expenses and his gambling bankroll as one. If he was smart, there would have been money set aside for expenses, and a specific bankroll JUST for gambling. But quite frankly, it's none of our business how he chooses to spend his money and it's pointless to even speculate on how he spends it/where he gets it from.

The only thing I or any of the rest of us should be concerned about is his gambling money won/lost. He is a "professional" after all, right?

CG: Pretty much the response I expected. I didn't think you had the EXACT figure but you have to have at least a ballpark of your overall gambling losses since you started. If you actually did have a year where you profited, you need to know what it is for tax filing purposes.

COL!!!   Career On Line play tonight on LSU....    Otherwise he has to dip into the remaining $18K in his 401K...    

Looks like a book detailing his journey is on the horizon too.

There is a key part of this whole story I have left out of respect to someone close to me I have helped over and over again financially. So while I'm living the dream betting for a living I'm still loaning money to someone constantly. Hence why I am betting some crazy large numbers at time. I wanted to get back money I loaned that I know I prob won't get back. I been working on a book detailing everything in this journey.

Yea and if I have to go to the 401K again I figure should wait till new year so I don't get the tax penalty till the following April 2017 as I will already have one to incur this April... That's why lsu game is huge basically will have to take a cash advance if lsu dosent deliver if I wanna bet before jan 1st when I get the $800 I loaned out back hopefully...

And if I go to the 401K I should either just use money to live off of and find a legit job... That can easily hold me over till I find a legit job. Ubering is a joke. Some fares I get $6 it's pathetic. Or I have to release an 18K bomb and literally put the life savings on the line. One win and I got huge cushion finally... If I lose it was inevitable I would blow the 18K anyway like I always do. Between 3K in expenses and my hideous money management. But with 3K expenses honestly in 6 months it I broke even betting I would be broke anyway just from expenses. Trust me one thing I can say is u guys do this for a hobby which is smart but when ur doing this for a career the pressure is just too much.

Just some thoughts. All my own fault. The loaning constantly tho people with my mindset. One thing thrilled to be back in Vegas. Love it here. Would love it even if I had to retire from betting. Was great seeing my family at home I really enjoyed that but the clouds and rain everyday is sickening. Nice and sunny back here in sin city. Cmon. One time I loan money, I help everyone let me get a winner with lsu. OTOT cmon. One time one time

This is my final response then I'll be back win or lose after game. Response to "rangers" dude from NJ from blankets. Figure been here 11 months so 3K expenses a month I'm -33K there.... Came out here with 30K, 10K in cash advance debt from betting, and -30K in 401K (took out 14K from my Roth in summer during bases) and (16K from my regular 401K in early October and the lsu money and money I loaned the scraps of that). I had 14K in Roth and 35K in my regular when journey started. Hence my 18K or so left in 401K which I already transfered in case this day came again. And I been loaning money and had $0 given to me. That's all 100% the truth so take it for what it's worth. Baseball I easily lost 20-30K


And remember like when I took the 14K and 16K from my 401K's they would have gone to 11K and 13K respectively first month just from expenses. My betting and living bankroll is the same thing. And yes I put away 10% of my old paycheck at my job in the 401k. Everything I just stated is 100% the truth so put the pieces of the puzzle how u may but those are all facts.

Figure been here like 11 months if I broke even to the penny betting I would be down 33K overall from living expenses. I pay rent, student loan, cell phone, car finance payment, heat, gas, food and any entertainment. 3K might even low ball it a little bit. So basically for my savings to not go down at end of year I would have had to win 36K betting this year. The way I won at home tho I thought was possible to make 100-500K a year. But then I had paycheck coming in, I was. Busy 12 hours a day (commuting and work) so betting was easier with less pressure obviously. Hence why hopefully my book can get me some money if not for being just a pure idiot and or my honesty about how impossible this is to do for a living Expecially with my PHANTOM expenses

My favorite....  he's so hung on sharp vs. square and winning percentage..   He just does not realize that winning percentage is meaningless if you vary your wagers from between $500-$9000 per bet   


I had been winning ncaaF and nfl at 55-60% every year since I was 18 too remember. Wasent like I had one good lucky run was doing it for years but also had a job and less pressure which I underestimated to say the least

I will say it again - CGs honesty is his best quality.

It is hard not to root for a guy who can be so self deprecating.

Pretty hilarious that CG's idea of "phantom expenses" are rent, gas, student loans, phone bills, heat, gas, food, entertainment.  Guess it's not all that surprising considering he would classify a 7 point favorite winning by 3 after being down the entire game a "bad beat".

He seems to have forgotten Vtech $6,300 miracle swing against UNC, New York Giants $6,300 miracle swing against Carolina, and the Green Bay Hail Mary for $4,400 against Detroit.  Thats $17,000.00 right there

So if he lost 20-30k in baseball, lost pretty substantially in nba/ncaab, you'd have to think his overall net losses are close to the 50k range.

If he is trying to complain about his current situation (that is the result of his own mistakes) then I can understand where he's coming from. 

BUT if he was trying to complain about his gambling luck, then he seriously needs to get medicated asap. 

It's well documented but he has been on the lucky side of some of the absolute biggest miracles I have ever seen. His "unlucky" losses don't even come close. If he can't see this objectively, then he seriously needs to be put on medication for his own well being.

This is the very reason why it's so hard to root for CG.

Not only does he completely ignore capping and more importantly bankroll management advice from any and all on here, he also just gives a casual hand wave to all his miracle wins, wins which have been documented time and time and time again by Rangerz, as he continues to believe he's on the devil's bad side.

I don't know if any of you watch poker but Joe Hachem did this during a live poker broadcast. He won 8-10 million dollars in the 2005 WSOP then the very next year on live TV, he was complaining about how he wasn't lucky.

Longtime poker players, grinders, and casual players alike went ballistic when he said that. 

CG does similar things on here with swings of tens of thousands of dollars!
