These are exactly the type of statements that almost force people to root against him. And he is still using them, in private emails no less...

My take is that CG is simply saying he's like a cockroach that is hard to kill.  And that he does things his own way.  What, exactly, do you find offensive about that because I am not understanding.

Van never saw any CG videos but that was funny. You playing the Copa America? I'm ripping it up except for that first Colombia loss to Venezuela - I had the tie. The lines are somewhat off and exploitable. Odds makers acting as if this is the world cup and the players have no clubs to back to.

I don't root for or against anyone, who really cares what other guys are doing? I wish everyone luck. There are tons of information as to how to bet and handicap and people take what they think or does work for them. If someone wins or loses that's their business. If stoopid players are lining the pockets of the books so be it - when the winners grab their share the books are positive $ because of the losers. I like when losers lose and the house takes a big chunk as my small winnings (when I win)  go unnoticed.

The only issue I have is people posting wins after the game is over. Photos of winning tickets means person if you don't show the losing tickets as well - or both before the games.

I was in on vacation betting sports like a fiend in the sportsbooks. I've got plenty of winning tickets that I took photos of.

Anyway GLTA and for the most part the only way to make serious money over the long haul is to be the book, not the player. JMHO

Barney - I have been betting COPA and WWC and also doing very well (a lot of good luck in both so far).  The dogs in COPA have been great.  Although I had a pretty huge bet on England +.5 in the last WWC match against Japan - that has left me sleepless for the last several nights. 

I like both Chile +.5 and I am laying the -126 with the US women.  The third place over in both tournaments too.

Revised odds, CG makes a college FB bet while in Vegas. Season starts Sept 3rd.   Action permits dipping into his 401K.   So essentially 60 days to not blow around 50K (less living expenses).

The first time I read this I missed the part about dipping in to the 401k.  I would say the chances are close to zero that he can make 1800 last until Sept, because he stated he has 3k a month expenses alone.

Future CG is very disappointed in present CG.  There is no way around this.  50k of present money for a 20 something is worth about (conservatively) 800k by the time he is 65 and ready to retire.  Future CG is going to be cursing 20 something CG when the only way he can get Tilapia at a restaurant is on the senior discount at early bird.

50k is nothing in vegas. Especially with the way he bets.
