The fact that the bet won in the final seconds doesn't change the logic and rationale of whether a $1000 bet was prudent or not. If you think it does, then you should probably stop betting.
This was a great win for CG, but a scary precedent, IMO.

He had increased his bankroll by over 10%. An increased wager was certainly the correct play. That's not being greedy. That is simple bankroll management. Your Wagers mirror your Bankroll fluctuations. Gambling 101.
