The conversation about buying a .5 pt is more complex than a few sentences in someone else's "vegas dream" thread. All I can say is that it is effective in rare situations when big bets are involved and it has worked well for me.
Mathematically speaking, buying pts are very profitable for the books. We all know this. But not in every single, solitary betting situation when I'm capping a situational spot, hence my purchase.
