Nick, there can be no debate about the correct course of action. Your own words from back when this whole thread started...I need to get out there and grind until football season.  You said it, not me.

You have put yourself in a precarious position and it seems you have very little to no self awareness about why your are in this position and what it will take to get out of it safely.

What position, you say?

1.  You came out with $30k....you now have $20k...and $5k of that was lost in a single bet.  Oh, and you want to do that again with at 40%+ chance of losing, at BEST??

2.  You are "debating" if it would be a good idea to start grinding OR put down a "Vegas Trip Ending" bomb of $5k to $15k....can you really be saying this with a straight fvcking face???  As if you don't know the answer to this question????????????????

3.  This is not your best sport.  Why you would even consider a 40% chance of losing up to 75% of your lifetime bankroll on ONE play in a sport that, by your own admission, is NOT your best sport...it boggles the mind.  If it was football and you thought you had a 90% winner............BUT ITS NOT FOOTBALL AND YOU DO NOT HAVE A 90% WINNER IN ANY BASKETBALL PICK.

4.  There is no next bet if you lose 15k on a bet Nick.  You are done.  You have to have some money to live on until you can get your next 9-5 job which you will be working at for the next 5 years until you can save up another good sized bankroll.

Your favorite...the 9-5.  It's hella hard to go back to that once you have tasted the freedom of independence, isn't it Nick?

There is no debate....let me say that again...

THERE IS NO DEBATE AS TO WHAT THE CORRECT COURSE OF ACTION IS AT THIS POINT IN TIME!!

If you are serious about turning this around you will choose to grind, if you want to be done with your experiment, you bomb.

Pretty damn clear...crystal clear.

CollegeDOUCHE is a man of no discipline or brains. He won't listen to seasoned experts who tell him to grind. It was amazing he calls himself a PRO bc all pros do is grind. A PRO never raises a bet after a loss. All CollegeDouche does is raise and raise high after a bet. Notice he doesn't post updated figures anymore bc it is so sad and pathetic. AND he yells at his mother. Truly a piece of crap person

Brady... CG is a proven winner.. It comes and it goes....its all about how you handle it. College has made me lots of money. and that's that, if you talk garbage to feel good about yourself so be it. Let me give you some advice . Your a shower shoe, its obvious, he is not gonna pay you any attention because he is a vet that knows how to weather the storm. Now I said all that to say this. why don't you go get fucked and bet on some goldfish. We are all here to make money and help each other. Gambling comes in streaks. If you know a better way,,,(obvious you don't or you wouldn't be trolling a guy that post his record everyday). Then follow him or post your own picks. Night baby doll!

So I have over 30K saved (mostly from betting winnings) and I feel with no wife or kids this is the perfect time for me to live my dream of pro handicapper.  I really think with proper discipline and the fact that I will be studying games, trends, etc all day that I can win 5K a month or so...  

I am quitting my job this coming Friday Jan 2, 2015 as I will receive the company match in my 401K for 2014 by then...  nothing else keeping me here... I am rolling over my 401K btw.

figure they will make me work two weeks and then I can officially step out the door. (what a relief and can't wait till I am official out the door)   Going to tell boss of my dream to move to vegas and will lie and say I am looking for work out there and hopefully he will give me unemployment while I am starting my pro handicapping career but I am already prepared for him to not give me that... 

Looking at the Summerlin/Henderson area... so I live in a nice area but am still a close ride to the strip...   

I know those who follow me know that I never lie about my bets or anything like that and I am 100% serious and can't wait till I am finally out there and starting my pro handicapping career.  I have never been so focused on succeeding in anything in my life and I am really confident I will do great.

No more limits to what I can throw on a game if I really like it. anyone who follows my season long threads knows how solid I am...   I am hitting at just under 60% in college and NFL football this season and that is with 110-130 bets placed in each sport so far this year.   If I ever did this for this football season (I would be betting much more)  I would have been already able to buy a house. 

Basically just wanted to let you know who follow me of my dream that I will be living I say by the end of January...  First step is going in Jan 2, 2015 (this coming Friday) and quitting... then will find out if they want me to work my two weeks or hopefully just let me walk out the door....

then can get a place and start the 40 hour treck out to VEGAS and start my pro handicapping career.

never been so confident or excited in my life.  I am 100% telling the truth and just wanted to see if anyone wanted to follow me while I am out there.  My friends all said I am good enough to do it and I know I am.. they say this is like something u see in a movie and I was just curious if anyone wanted to follow my journey because I will be honest and happy to share it...

If I see a bunch of negative comments I will not share how things go out there with anyone... if not I will let u know how it goes when I quit, where I chose to live and how my betting/day to day life goes out there.

This is something I have been planning for the last 3 years or so.. I would always WONDER if I am good enough to be a pro handicapper or not if I DIDN"T try this.   Well sometimes u gotta venture out and act on ur dreams and that is exactly what I am doing.

I can always get a job with a betting service if the day to day full time betting is too stressful..  but I 100% love it and plan on being able to do it full time and become a legend in the business.  I never been so focused on anything in my life... I absolutely love sports and betting on them


Your very 1st post to start this thread CG... Please read, this was you, have you changed or are u still that guy?? A lotta things have changed since this post.. GL

So I created a thread in which, with a lengthy and informative write-up which (which even included a relevant highlight package of the Dartmouth game):

1) won at 1 and 1.5
2) pushed at 2
3) did NOT lose in any way/shape/form based on what I said in that thread as the line moved towards tip off.

I was right about it being a tight game and I was right about Harvard taking it down as the psychological impediment Yale had to overcome was too much bear.

And yes, I can tell CG not to play tough, close games because he's not capping a thing. He's snorting coke and waking up with barnyard animals running around his living room. I can cap within a .5 pt. I got the best line and everyone had a shot at it at the time of post, ya know the best line, something Van continually preaches about getting?

So you are able to bash a freak Rutgers loss by .5 or but when I win by .5 you bash that too?

We all bet every night .... with visitors...whether it be wives, girlfriends, grandparents, kids, friends, colleagues etc. etc. etc. What you are going through in terms of 'visitors' is not unique in the least.

A meaningless half point in a 2 point game? Yes, because the game doesn't land on 1 for a push, it is 'meaningless'. The game was decided by a basket and I was asked whether the poster should buy down from 2.5. Was the correct answer 'NO'! Most posters don't even answer other posters. I answer THEM ALL.

I bought down from 1 because it effectively gave me a ML bet because I had Harvard to win at all costs. There are REASONS for the that beyond just 'buying down for the sake of it'. 1 ensures a win/push and NO LOSS which is EXACTLY how I capped it.

Hutch, you are really playing the fool here. I posted the line EVERYONE had available for virtually the entire night and the one that started moving to 2, a push line, not even a loser in the morning and afternoon the day of the game as all lines usually do.

That is why I posted the best line I knew everyone had available. Not the best line I HAD available because NO ONE CARES about my bookie's line since they don't have it.
