Ok I didn't know they were playing Penn State. Penn State is one of the few teams outside of the sec that I've followed pretty close this year as I've watched at least a portion of all three of their games. And let me tell you, I'm very unimpressed for a supposedly playoff caliber team. I think they'll struggle some in big ten play.
The WVU game was close until they kicked the ball off to State with less than 30 seconds left in the first half and then inexplicably allowed them to go the full length of the field and score a TD. Then WVU was totally lifeless when the second half started like 3 hours later. Then BGSU was in the lead against Penn State at halftime and played a close game throughout.
And with 6 minutes remaining in the first half Penn State was up on Kent State 7-0. Of course for comparisons sake I had to lookup the Tennessee score with 6 minutes left in the first half and it was.....51-0
So yeah, I love the Illinois pick.
