The market has overreacted after Emma beat Jovic. Emma is now -305 and appears to just keep climbing. Zhang does hold a 3-0 h2h so there is some value on the dog because of the overreaction. No play from us but will be cheering for Emma to win another match.

Cristian has been the better player so far, controlling every point. Kasatkina is just rolling serves in and Jackie is ripping them. As long as Jackie controls her aggression our thoughts on Kasatkina will be wrong again. 

How wrong we have been when it comes to Kasatkina.

I really think Zhang triggers Navarro mentally. Remember the first time they played Zhang was +1000 and it was her second win off that record breaking losing streak she had and I think it was embarrassing for Emma. This was after she beat Coco at Wimbledon earlier in the year but her late season form was fading.

After the Zhang loss she got a waiver to play a 125 tournament as a top ten player and I think she got bounced in either the first or second round in a tournament that featured zero players that should have been able beat a top 10 player. So I'm not sure it's a coincidence that Navarro has also lost to Zhang in their next two meetings. Now look at her this week, she gets a big win and maybe it looks like she's getting things back on track but the joy doesn't last long cause guess who's waiting around the corner: the GOAT Zhang Shuai.

Fwiw I'll be playing Zhang Shuai and Fernandez 

Maybe Navarro finally gets her revenge but too much value at +250 to pass up given the circumstances.

Also probably not a coincidence that we've seen the underdogs winning so far today. Not as much Cristian but talking more about Osorio and JBM losing.

Also the confidence factor runs both ways so Zhang should feel pretty confident. Obviously confidence is a factor for her since she went from record losing streak to 1000 level quarterfinal when she finally got on the board and got her confidence back.

Should also mention that this apparent curse Navarro has with this Chinese woman all began after she threw all that shade at Qinwen Zheng at the Olympics.

You could have left that out, reminds me of the tough Kerber defeat from Zheng, so dang close.
