It's low level clay court women's tennis. That's not abnormal at all.

Note: If set 1 bagel doesn't hit there's a strong possibility I'll play it again set 2, possibly for more depending on how things play out set 1.

Betting on a bagel is crazy. Need to be at least +1000 odds for me to even consider. BOL

Since it's raining decided to look at the ladies. At first look it appears we will have a wing man special tomorrow.

I completely underestimated how bad Tauson is right now. She could actually lose this match. And not because of her opponent. Her opponent is awful as well. I might make a live play depending on how the rest of the set plays out.

 Clay or hard?

Zheng should theoretically be highly motivated right now. But I'm still not sure if she can be trusted. I'm not sure what her situation is with special entries but if she doesn't have any remaining she could be staring down the possibility of having to play US Open quallies which would obviously suck for her.

Valentova Korneeva should be a real banger.

And I wouldn't expect Sakkari to have any trouble at all with Walter's gf

Haven't looked too much yet but initial reactions would be:

I do think Putinseva moves past the Sherif. The Egyptian wins clay court matches she is supposed to win but she doesn't have the greatest record against top 50 players. I know Putinseva isn't top 50 right now but I consider her as that caliber of player. The Mayar's recent wins have come by dragging her opponents down into the slop with her but I'm not sure how effective that will be against Putinseva.

Clara Burel has quietly been playing some good tennis lately. OleOli's odds against Pridankina today were puzzling to say the least and given that fact it is somewhat surprising for her to be an even larger favorite against Burel. But perhaps the good result today is the reason for that. 

With the way Marcinko struggles to hold serve on clay I would have to consider Z to be a live dog here.

Poor Tona struggling hard now. Hence why I said go bigger set 2.

Oli got broke 4 times first set. Burel gets broken 5 times first set. And that was the difference. WTA at its finest 

Now exchanging breaks to start 2nd set. This will surely  go 3 sets

No commentary is necessary. We are only a month removed from clay season and for some reason you guys act like you don't even remember how low level clay court tennis works.
