Granollers-Pujol, Zeballos ranked #10 and #5 seeded here. They have reached the semi-final here the last 3 years here in French Open they are 13-3 on clay this year. Already won Madrid and Bucharest on Clay this year.
They play Gonzalez Santiago / Krajicek Austin, not bad players Krajicek was ranked #1 and Gonzalez #7 in the past, but Gonzalez is not 42 years old and ranked 53 and Krajicek 73. They just started play together this year, so they are 6-3 after winning a challengers in Mexico in April, since then they lost in the first round in Madrid, Turing and Geneva.
They should be happy to have reached theR16 here. I think we will see a close 1st set but in the end Granollers and Zeballos wins it 2-0.

Heliövaara, Patten is quite similar ranked #3 and #2 seeded here, they playing another former #1 in Bopanna who is now 45 years old and dropped to a #33 spot in ranking. Heliövaara, Patten only started to play together last year but already have won 2 grand slams, Wimbledon last year and Australia Open this year. I don't think they will win French Open, but this match they should win. They won Lyon and Marrakech and two challengers on Clay last year, going 21-3.
They haven't won anything on clay this year but is 10-4, they reached semi in Monte Carlo, Rome, Hamburg and QF in Madrid. They have looked solid in their 2 first matches.
Bopanna was never very good on Clay, took most of his titles on Hard court, last time he won anything on clay was 8 years ago back in 2017, now at 45 can't see him take this, they have struggled in all matches to get here. They are 3-2 on clay, should be an easy 2-0 win here.

Andreeva/ Shnaider this will be Garcia's last match, she's ending her career at 31. She actually won French Open here last time she played here in 2022. But haven't played much since because of injuries. It will be a nice send off, and she will probably make a match out of this, but she's parried with Parry, who is in a bad form 5-10 in singles and don't play much double. The Russian pair have won their last 3 set's here all 6-0, won't be surprise if we see them in the final here. Shnaider is already out of the singles as well so all focus on the doubles.

Errani, Vavassori this will be the pairs 7th tournament in 2 years they play mixed. They are 14-3 and a US open slam together, so they know each others game very well. Bit surprised about this odds, both are in the top 10 (#6 & #8) on the main tour and are playing Galloway & Jiang who don't know each other, last match was Jiang's first ever mixed match, they are ranked 28 and and 38, Jian is only 20/20 on clay in her carrier and Errani beat her in Rome 2-0. Galloway is 2/3 in mixed. He have had his success on the challenger tour. Should be an easy 2-0 win here as well.

Kudermetova V. / Mertens E Kudermetova played Alexandrova twice yesterday, lost the singles in straight and was a set down and 0-40 at 2-4 in the second set but, they did wake up after that, saved 4 BB (would have been matchpoints) and turned the match after that. Winning the next 7 out of 8 games. I think they want to start this match the way they ended yesterday match.
They now playing much easier opponents in Bonzetti (ranked #332) and Ann Li (#680), Li is 6-5 on clay in double since 2016 and Bonzetti 29-48. Mertens and Kudermetova are 10-2 this season reaching the final in both Rome and Madrid.

Granollers-Pujol, Zeballos 2-0
Heliövaara, Patten 2-0
Andreeva/ Shnaider 2-0
Kudermetova V. / Mertens E 2-0
Straight wins for all, great profit already, only mixed left for the big parley.
King just played and won this men double 2-0, so let's hope he won't be tired and that they are going for it in mixed.

Will add small hegde on Cascino E. / Blancaneaux G. to win a set.
Vassaori/Errani will win easy 2-0 so it's just King and Townsend I'm a little worried about.

@Bjorn_Borg
Townsend was awesome today. The Italians were another gift again today 2-0 @ -115
The way Townsend is playing has me thinking her and Kat will win it all. But then I think about Errani too and then now Paolini out of singles which probably helps so I'm torn.
Also KuderMerts are going to be very difficult to beat. Obviously both of them were on great teams last year but now that they've teamed up they're even better.
Then there's the Russians too.

@TheBoyWonder
@bringit Second week will be tricky and very unpredictable, might have one more parley for next round then I’m going to focus on the grass season instead.

Do you know if Nicholls sustained some kind of thumb injury today? I was flipping through matches and I saw them looking at her hand. I didn't watch the rest but they lost the last 3 games of the match after that and only managed a few points.

@bringit
Hmm didn't see that match, but they did get bageled in the 3rd, so would be a good strategy to target her. They did play in the AO where the Brits won as big underdogs, I think the Italians will get there revenge here.
Pattern playing tomorrow and they are favorites agianst King, so don't think they want an extra mixed match between an eventual semi-final in the men's double.
I will back Errani and Vavassori today.
Errani & Vavassori + Arevalo, Pavic gives + money.
The #1 seeds Arevalo & Pavic have already beaten Nys / Roger-Vas twice this year both in straight sets, on hard and indoor and they are better on clay.

Kudermetova, Mertens 2.2
Don't agree they should be underdogs here, they are 1-1 H2H, Mertens and Kudermetova won easy in Madrid 6-1, 6-3, then they played again in the the Rome Final, where they where up 4-0 in both the 1st and 2nd set, but lost in straights. I think the Italians can thank the home crowd from that one.
Now they play for a 3rd time in just 2 months, but the Italians most been gassed.. Paolini winning both single and double in Rome has now played 19 matches in just 25 days. She looked very tired in the 3rd set against Svitolina, and her serving power is down almost 20% compared to a week ago.
