Another great win for the Fernandez girls. It has really been fun watching them, especially with the crowd support. Bianca has played remarkably well. She's ranked 1000+ in singles and 900+ in doubles. In previous matches their opponents have done the obvious thing when there's such a talent gap and attacked her with nearly every shot, even if she's the net player, but Bianca has really made them pay for it.
Apparently before their last match Leylah was devastated after being knocked out by Krueger early in the day and then they were playing Krueger again in doubles. Bianca told dad/coach how bad she wanted to win it as revenge for Leylah and he gave her the green light to take over and lead the team and she straight up killed it and was the best player on the court.

@Uman
Pass on the Kei match. No way would I lay the wood on the Italian. Kei is one of my favorite players, but his health is always the concern and now he has to play two matches in one day. No thanks.

@bringit
Way to dig deep and great diamond in the rough. I would have fired too with that information.
Let me know when you are ready to discuss the Aussie battle.

I winded up not playing Stearns on the money line and on the game line pegula the previous champion of that tournament
The lack of interest from our resident capper Wgomel was also a factor

Line is bouncing all over the place on our last match in Toronto. What is it with Samson and lines. Last week Samson's line fooled me against Badosa but no our Ace. Sure, need his input before we consider something. I have a lean but keeping it to myself so he will not be influenced either way. ![]()

Very difficult to fade Schneider with the way she’s been playing and H2H, but I feel we may see a bit of a let down after defeating Gauff. I lean Sams but what do I know lol

Yeah she was champ last year and it seems like I read that she had something like a 14-2 record at this tourney. Plus with it being in Toronto she has somewhat of a local connection being from nearby Buffalo. All of those things are mitigating factors but I went with Stearns anyways. She has been hot this week and she can be dangerous.

What a set. Shnaider might win this tourney. She's not going to fly under the radar much longer unfortunately.
@wgomel21
I see both players at -110 right now. I think Shnaider was +105 this morning. Samsonova is one of the few players I haven't watched play this week so last I saw of her was against Badosa.
When I analyze my above heat of the moment comment from last night I have a hard time making an argument against it. I don't know if Shnaider shouldn't be a slight favorite in this one honestly. And I mentioned her possibly winning the tournament and look at the draw now. For as much as she has burst onto the scene this year, winning a 1000 would be like you're legit on the scene now. Kind of like Paolini winning in Dubai. You have to think Shnaider is hungry for this.
