Osaka might do well in US Open but this is to soon. Garcia has been on fire these first 2 weeks of 2024. 

Marterer is solid on hard, had a very good end of last year 14 win in his 17 last matches. Beat Borges 2-0 and a lot of other good players. 

Borges just lost 6-2, 6-0 agianst Flis, I expect Marterer to take a solid win here 3-0 or 3-1.

Say what you want about WTA tennis, it can be very random but in slams is more consistent.

Safiullin up 2-0 and had 7 break balls in the 4th set couldn’t take any of them.

Same with Marternen won 1st set had 7 bb in the 2nd set didn’t take any.

You just need a decent serve on the ATP, on the WTA you need to outplay you opponent.

Emma was easy bet today, Rogers didn’t play any tennis in over 6month and Emma said herself she’s in the best form of her life, played really well agianst Svitolina and no pressure on her this time.

Thanks! I was real impressed with the way Garcia defeated Osaka. Raducanu never sweat during her 1st round match.

What happened to Jen Brady? She was such a strong hard court player. Did injuries or did she make enough money and get married? Do you know?

Knee injury. I’m sure she will be back later this year, but doubt we ever see her as good as she once was.
