The Stats Engine beta What is the Stats Engine?

Covers staff has created an Engine that will allow you to compare the key MLB stats that we’ve compiled in our databases to figure out your best wagering scenarios.

Why would you use the Stats Engine?

It’s the best way to:

• Run past results to predict future outcomes
• Find win percentages for your favorite betting situations
• Build and save your own personal reports
• Share your best results with other users

Professional handicappers have been using similar tools for years to improve their performance and Covers.com wants you to continue to seek the best betting scenarios and share them with our wagering community.

The product page also features a demo that explains how to use the engine.

Please give us your feedback in this thread for what we can improve as this is a beta project and we want to make The Stats Engine everything you would like to have for sorting stats and figuring out trends for all major sports.

We really need User feedback to see if Users like it and find value in it

We're not going to rule out charging for the product or having free pieces and paid pieces of the Stats engine, but at this point we need feedback. Our beta projects can go four different ways after launch.

1. We can discontinue
2. We can make it free (with limited features)
3. We can make the basic model free and offer additional paid features (build a better product)
4. We can charge for it

Trust us we know everyone likes option 2.  We can dedicate staff to making a better product if we use option 3, but maybe everyone will like the simple product.

We have no clue what sites CD329 is referring to. We looked around the market when we first decided to create The Stats Engine and saw some simple sorting options that were not very effective. We wanted to build something that was really useful for bettors.

We would like to know a site that has something that can stand up against The Stats Engine. CD329 what sites are you referring to?

Great product and nice demonstration. Will this have data for the nfl for past seasons or will it only record data for this following season?

We will be launching a portion with NFL and NCAAF in the near future and it should have the past few seasons available for each sport.

Is there a way to add a column for what the cost of the unit was for MLB?

This way you can do some risk based data mining.   It just shows units won or lost...doesn't show what was risked to win or lose that bet....
