I advise you check out this entire website and make sure you have at least these specs:
4gbs of ram
a 1gb graphics card starting at the gtx460m or the 5770 (although I advise you go with nvidia, theyre always better.)
an i7 processor at least turbo boost up to 2.9 ghz
Enough hard drive space
And a sufficient cooling system

Nice gaming laptop ![]()
Even though the laptop has enough horsepower to run high graphic games, does the laptop still get hot?
The most annoying thing in a laptop is the fan constantly running like a madman. I guess that's the nature of any laptop when you're running high intensity softwares/games.

I want to be able to play the most current games and any future games Also, I want to get a desktop that will not be outdated in the next five years or so.

Hey Lippsman, what do you think about this desktop ?

Well first of all no matter what you buy today will be outdated in the next 5 years. In fact you can make that next 2 years.
But that desktop looks allright, also checkout Dell and give the Dell refurb outlet a look. The link is buried at the bottom of the page

I never bought anything from newegg before, so do i need to register and do I get some type of discounts?

As for newegg, all you need to do is create an account, it's very easy and I'm not sure if you get discounts but they usually have the best deals for their products.
Whatever you do don't go to or talk to the people at best buy about buying specific computer parts, they know nothing.. Ask your friend or post a comment here.

I'm putting in the Radeon 6770 1 GB video card.
I'm thinking about putting in 4 gb of RAM, but for 20 dollars more I can get 8 gb.
Also, I'm thinking about putting in 500 gb of HD space, but for 30 dollars more I can get 1 TB.
Those 2 upgrades are significant and much needed in the near future and for 50 dollars more, it's a steal. My overall budget is about 700 dollars.
I have a copy of WIndows XP, so should I put in XP? or get Windows 7?
I'm also gonna get a 22" LED TV and hook it up to my gaming desktop
Any thoughts?

I'm putting in the Intel core I3- 2100 sandy bridge processor, U could get an I5, but I don't see a significant increase in performance.
