I have left on there my year's backtest for RPI and this system on the Covers Data 2 tab.  When you update, the spreadsheet will post the previous day's plays on Covers Data 2 , Columns A to I (eye!!!). So don't put anything you might wish to keep on those columns. 

On the Covers Data 2 tab, you can see in Columns O-R on the RPI section, and X-AA on the TR section, the amount of wins to losses.  If you figure that each play is a + ML (in most cases) and stand to lose only 1 unit for a loss....well, the stats are right there.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  I have been working diligently over the past week when time presented itself to back test and try to identify appropriate filters to develop a system such as yours.

Just today I finished back testing to the start of this season.  Then tonight as I am about to embark on the 2012 season I read this post.  I had to laugh out loud.  

Thank you for posting.  My spreadsheet is still in the works, so I appreciate viewing your work.  I am still trying to identify filters that might eliminate some or hopefully all of the losses.  It seems that utilizing the RL when the play is a dog has helped.  Interleague seems to be an issue as well as it has caused more than a few of the losses.

Friend request on the way and I would love to share thoughts with you as I really believe in what I have seen so far.  Best of luck to you!

I read about it somewhere, but the poster said 3 or 5pts diff. I did a quick backtest on 2 teams last year and it did really good, so I started following it this year and started playing them 2, 3 weeks ago.  As far as the RLs, that was Jeff's.  Jun 4th, there were 4 plays, 3 won all three plays (ML, -1.5, and -2.5) and the fourth won just the ML.  Thanx to Jeff, instead of winning 4u, it was 14 or 17u, and cleared the chases on the A game.

Something else I was going to look into that you might have already.  Appreciate the help, and thanks in advance.

No, I haven't.  I'm one and done.  I haven't looked that far.  I don't even check if it's a 4 game series, just not a 2g series. It's more that I've been too busy than not wanting to risk.  Something to think about sure.

All "A" plays

So how are you playing these Buckey - ML, -1.5 RL, or -2.5 RL - or a combination?  like 1 unit ML and .5 units -1.5 RL and -2.5 RL?

I believe Buckeye and Jeff play it a little differently based on some of their data analyses.  I am still very much in the infancy of trying to establish filters and such for how I envisioned this working when I began studying the numbers.

Exactly what DeGen said...hefty juice.  The beauty of the RL system, especially for dogs is, well, it's basically a dog play.  If you lose, you lose one unit.  If you're 2-2 on the day, you should be up.  If you go +1.5, you would lose more.  As to that thought about Dogs, see post #12.  One of those plays was Min.  They won 3-0, and covered all 3 plays.  They were a +122 dog for me.

I'm playing all 3.  Like I said in other threads, it's more for fun and if it does really well, during the offseason, research it more, and play higher wagers and more filters.

So one unit on each.  If I was playing more serious, and to those that do, I would probably go 1 unit on ML and -1.5 and maybe .5u on the -2.5., plus check the percentages on the spreadsheet for each team.

Also, I screwed up a number on a macro for Covers Data 2.  You'll notice that Was plays are at the bottom.  Shouldn't be like that.  I'll have a fix after I get home from work at 4pm EST

No, the rankings part on the summary tab is fine, what the problem is matters to the Covers Data 2 tab only.  I have it set up that it takes the info from the "Covers Data" tab and sorts it by date instead of by team.  This makes it easier to track.  I just didn't take the sort far enough down.  Gonna fix now

I think I missed understood your question.  Hit update every morning and it will update.  I did it this morning at 630am (est) and compared it with the websites and it was fine.

On the sheet, any tab click on VIEW, Click on View Macros (on right in 2013 version of Excel), Click on Covers (macro name) and then Edit.

You should have opened up a new window.  On the right pane you should see Covers Macro under Sub Covers ().  Go down to the 5th "End With". Below that should be Rows "("3:3") . Select"

3 rows below that is "Rows ("3:702")

Change the 702 to whatever row you want to hide to.  Click the Run button (arrow pointing to the right) and it will do it for you without updating the whole page.  Click the to right X to get out of that window.  Done.
