Just since I started tailing last Saturday the count is
20O / 4E = 83%.

Not a solid representation, but it makes me think that 70% is a very reasonable approximation.

side note: thanks to the suggestion of dlew2k , i have been looking at labby versions of this as well..i am tracking something that i may start posting in a seperate thread..this thread is all or nothing $100 -10k or bust ! ..

Sportsinteraction offers these bets at -250 ..if anyone knows any other please post them.. at some point it will  be a great problem to have if i go over the max bet and need another book or 2..

bet365 at -220.  I find Sports Interaction's juice is often high, on all sports

2 Things:

1) Anybody have anything negative to say about bet365?

2) I did some back testing using a single Labby line and you need a hefty bankroll for the times you'll run into Even, Even, Odd, Even or dare to say Even, Even, Even.  Interested in other people's thoughts on somehow incorporating this type of wager into Labby.

I don't mind bet365, but I find their wager history section confusing, and for some bizarre reason your balance is not displayed on the main page.  Small potatoes, but they cannot compare to a site like Pinnacle.

On the plus side, they have awesome hockey options

I tallied the results (every game) both for a -2.20 line and -2.50 line for the season (I doubt its 100% but its pretty close to it).

with -2.20 lines:

Oct 106-48  69%   +.4 units

Nov 140-59 70%     +10.2 units

Dec 70-20 78%   +26 units

Total flat betting = +36.6 units

 

Now with a -2.50 line (for those at sportsinteraction)

Oct 106-48  69%    -14 units

Nov 140-59  70%   -17.5 units

Dec 70-20  78%    +20 units

Total flat betting = -11.5 units

 

So it looks like just the 3 tenths difference in juice really changes the results.  It won't work playing at sports interaction every game.

 

For the system purposes, I did a little testing by just picking out 1 to 2 plays per nite like Neilsy did.  I did it twice and each time I made it about a month before losing 3 games in a row.  I don't want to be a Debby Downer, but thats what happened.  Maybe Neilsy can pick out better selections each nite than randomly picking them and it will work.  Like Neilsy says, its for fun.  Maybe luck will be on this thread's side for 111 more days or whatever it is. 

 

 

No doubt you are correct allday investor ..do i have better than 1 in 100 of dodging these bullets ?..dunno.. time will tell..however, if it hits a 3rd game loss only once a month..thats good news for anyone wanting to run  a labby. imo .. gonna start the labby thread tommorow..

as well i think the increase in ODD that has occured in December should continue...these 3 point games mean that even with 10 minutes left in the 3rd teams are playin for the tie, and settle it in OT..get that point..every point is crucial even now...

I agree, the percentages should no doubt stay the same or improve slightly with points getting more and more crucial to NHL teams.

What about picking Division games? Are these games more likely to result in 1 goal games? I don't know the answer right off, but I would think, like any sport, division games are typically much tighter scores.

I assume that:

 - some teams have better shootout or 4 on 4 results, so will play for them, settling into a trap in the last ten minutes
 - on '4 point games', a regulation tie is nearly as desirable as a win for teams on the bubble
 - teams like Mtl don't go for the empty netter as much as Wash (ovy loves to shoot!)

Many other variabless, I'm sure.

What about a Labby line for each team playing a home game?  i.e a 2468 line.  ..(man, more back testing.)  brb!!
