Yeah, that was hard to watch. Hopefully the system can get back on track with another nice string of A & B wins. If you decide to play BOS for the D game it wont show in the sheet tomorrow as they dropped below 0.500. I will play them to win 3u if the Canadians clear the fade on Panthers tonight, if they dont i will have to re-think it. I would expect BOS should be around +150 so possibly another 2u at jeopardy. Still awaiting the last line to clear in top fave now, got a hunk of the profits from that system on Flyers tonight so hopefully that one stays in check.

Uploaded the up to date records in the link. After BOS blowing goats on there road trip hopefully the ROAD system can generate some profits out the rest of the way. Blues on A and Kings on B for tonight. Still nice to see the A games clearing at higher 60% range. Finally battled to 25u with TOP FAVE and shut things down; I will continue to track, just for reference the rest of the way. RPI dog with my filter been a disappointment but will personally continue to throw a unit at qualifying teams, maybe it can generate a few bucks the rest of the way, there is 2 qualifiers tonight. Have a few sheets set up for MLB and looking forward to take this NHL profit and build on it.

For any who haven't wrapped up the NHL, I have updated the link with current records of the 4 systems in the spreadsheet. A few websites changed there format and the sheet broke it's automation so thats fixed if you were using it. Personally i have stopped playing the RPI Dog & Top Fave. The RPI Dog had a nice string of wins in early march to make it somewhat worth while this season, I will continue to play the road Play & Fade system as well as the last few DR24 second half plays till the end of this month......time to look forward to MLB. Check out the "Charts" tab to see how the systems progressed on the BR through the season.

Just want to get your thoughts, and also anybody else's thoughts, on the various versions of power rankings around the internet.
As far as I can see there is quite a few different versions, and was wondering what you feel the most "accurate" rankings are, and whether subjective or objective rankings would be best to use going forward.

Personally I am growing more fond and confident in power rankings. I am going to use them in this upcoming NHL system in place of the filter of "win %". It's my thought that the weekly power ranking takes a bit more into consideration, somewhat sorting the better playing teams versus the teams headed in the other direction. As an example, I figure a qualifying team in a system has to be in the top 10 PR, plays a little better than say a team with a win % of greater than 0.500. I also use PR's quite heavily in NFL handicapping along with OFF and DEF performance. As you suggested the NFL can be hard at times and occasionally the PR helps in a few decisions.
For the most part I personally use the posted PR's from the main league sites (NHL.com, MLB.com, NFL.com etc.). That's not to say I don't look at other sites, for NHL I like TSN.ca & Sportsnet; sometimes the Canadian content has a little different perspective but for the most part I find the top 10 and bottom 10 PR'd teams are very close to the same, usually only in a slight different order.

A lot of time, and effort are put into power-rankings, regardless of where they come from, or by who publish's them, they're loaded with stats, and information, upgraded by the week, a very good tool when handicapping the NHL...however, they're not the bible; to those who have an advanced comprehension of the NHL, how it works, and apply handicapping mehtodology skills to gain the winning edge, I highly recommend hockey-reference.com as a major NHL 'unlimited' information source. enjoy the upcoming NHL season..and remember, betting hockey is, and always will be the value of the Puck Line....Canadians eat, breath, play, and shitt Hockey, it's there National past time, and understand the game better than most. later fella's

I was attempting to update the RPI, as its Oct 15th and noticed that the same page for 2015-16 doesn't have the arrow to auto populate from the web. Are you using a different source this year or is my excel failing me.
I was tracking the RPI dog and needless to say it was horrendous, I just wanted to start tracking this years.. Thank you JenJay
