Folks, PLEASE understand one thing, I am not here to deter the concept of what SN is doing here, since I have always and always will continue to back this man's picks 100%.  I just hope that some of you will understand what I am saying.

Sir Just thought I would give you a update, and you were right, in the ftp file of the hosting account there was a virus, but it has been resolved at this time, all files were downloaded scanned and any and all virus removed prior to uploading back to www.oddscreatoronline.com  Thank You Very Much for bringing this to my attention.

SN has placed this thread in the forum 'Systems & Strategies' instead of the forum 'Pro Football'

This means that this is not meant to be a thread where you come to get SN's picks only.
In this thread SN is supposed to present his system and his handicapping and betting strategies,
and he welcomes comments, questions and discussions about these issues.

To be successful at sports betting you need to be able to get 'good' picks and use a sound Money Management (MM) system.

'Good'picks can be obtained f.ex. by handicapping (if you are good at it!), by tailing another person or by using a paid service.
A sound MM system is always based on Mathematics.
It can be obtained f.ex. by doing the math yourself (if you are good at it!) or by reading about it in books or on the forums.

    SN has presented his handicapping ideology in posts #66, #67, #78, #103, #107, #128, #132, #143
The basic idea is to use game films as a tool to handicap.
In post #109 SN explains that he uses about 60 hours in a 5 day span reviewing films.

The only post I have found about MM is #151

As I doubt any other person on this board is using 60 hours a week reviewing game films, it is no surprise, that
there is no discussion about SN's handicapping system.

Some members have presented their own handicapping system, but that is really irrelevant in this thread.

When it comes to MM, it's another story.
As MM is mathematical in nature many members (the mathematicians) can take part in a discussion.

SN is clearly using some sort of MM as he attach units to his picks.
Regrettably he has not explained his system and when asked questions about it he replies but does not answer the question.

I have not seen one person in this thread questioning SN's handicapping system and his ability to handicap.

So please don't be offensive when SN is asked a question about his MM.
The questioner does respect SN as a handicapper just like you do.

Hey All,   Sorry for all the argueing back and forth since I do fully realize that this sort of act that I protrayed was unprofessional and even though I was attempting to back SN up in all the work he has done for use, it kinda got out of hand.  I have always believed that we are truly here to work together in a common goal, and when I read all the petty comments that are being written about SN it really upsets me as knowing him the way I do I know for a FACT that this man dedicates alot of his time and energy in handicapping a game weither it be NFL or MLB it makes no difference and if he says he is placing more units on one pick then the othe so be it, since if it losses then I am sure that he also lost that bet as well.    So lets quit argueing and if you see a pick that he makes or anyone else makes, then talk about it not nit pick it okay

That is the key thing.. if anyone has a question or comment about the selections, then ask us here before the games begin. If SN is unable to respond, there are enough of us on here who know how this works to probably be able to explain it.

That being the case.. there will always be jealous lurkers around waiting to pounce on the first opportunity they see to "degrade the beautiful people"

Whether they have the same picks as SN shouldn't really matter. Often times a lot of the strong games of the week are going to be picked by more than one person. It doesn't mean they all get it right..

I think you would also agree, to start your own thread for this - with full rules and such, as to not take away from the focus of this thread.

Click on my butt for the Gold Platinum play of the year for free. If that game somehow loses. You get your money back at no charge. Then the remainder of the NFL season picks are on us if you purchased our Gold Platinum play.

Are you one of those on here who knows enough about how this works to post the 4-game,13-point teaser before SN posts it?  (assuming it gets posted, which I think it will albeit later)  I'm just asking.

There is no "formula" or "math" involved in the use of Game Film. Predicting what SN is going to pick is as good a guess as anyone. I'm sure I could narrow it down to 5 or 6 possible games, based on my Game Film reviews, but his picks are personal opinion, based on his own "reads" of film review. I'm afraid I haven't mastered my telepathy skills yet

I do post my own 13-pt teaser in my own thread, which is 2-0 this season. I haven't completed my final cut plays, still a couple I am waiting on information for. I will finish them after this tight ballgame in New York tho. I'm sure SN's plays will be posted by morning.

Not trying to hijack your thread SN, just wanted to share my teasers for discussion. I'm 8-0 on teasers this year. They are the highlight of my betting in NFL every year.  I have two this week, the first being the strongest. SN and everyone feel free to discuss and comment on these. Only get 12pt in my book.  Hope everyone has a great Sunday.....GL

OK...I know that because I'm being critical and asking questions, I'm about to have personal insults thrown my way.  I will have to live with them.  I'm keeping my commentary professional and to the point.

A lot of you talk about the amazing success of the baseball system.   One topic that comes up a lot is how many units it won.  These numbers are fishy to say the least.  You only know the units because Sports_network posted his "wins" after the fact.  He never posted them before hand.  I'm not saying that he was fudging the numbers, but he always seemed to have bet more on the winning plays than he did on the losing plays.  Every time somebody made the very legitimate request that he post the numbers before hand, he changed the subject by insulting them.

It appears that he was guilt tripped into posting the units this time.  But there are serious problems with the units.  What exactly does a 38 unit bet on Dallas mean?  Nobody cares about the exact dollar size of the bankroll but we do need to know how many units are in the bankroll.  If you have 100 units and lose 38 of them, does that mean that each of the future bets will only be 62% of the size they would otherwise.  Is it 38 units out of a bankroll of 10000?  If so, then when you win 10 units, you really should say you earned 0.1%.

Do you remember the time when he changed the units from "at risk" to "to win" after the fact?  Suppose for a second that all of the favorites had lost that week.  Do you really think he still would have changed it and said "Oops, I actually lost 4 times as much as you think I did"?

My day job is analyzing investments for a hedge fund.  I routinely see companies that are reporting suspicious earnings.  Our quarterly profits rose 37% quarter....just don't ask us any detailed questions about receivables, inventory or reserves.

For you guys that don't have any Wall Street experience, google the names Nick Leeson, Joseph Jett, Robert Citron, Ken Lay, Bernie Ebbers, Long Term Capital Management, Lehman Brothers... I could go on and on.  The story is literally always the same.  They made a lot of money for a little while.  Then they lost all of it and a lot more.  When the story broke, it turned out they were never quite as successful as they seemed at first.  Their "success" came from taking more risk than was appropriate.  When things started to get bad, they doubled down.  Sometimes they doubled down three or four times.  There were always safeguards to stop that sort of thing. But they would surreptitiously move money from one client account to another or one reserve fund to another to cover it.  When people would ask questions about it, they would try to make it as complicated as possible and insult them when they tried to unravel it.  When that didn't work, they would just fall back on saying "I'm successful so you don't need to ask questions".  When that didn't work, they would attack the whistleblowers.  When the fallout inevitably came, the media would always say:  How could nobody see this coming?  The same story happens over and over again.

Well, you do need to ask questions!!!  Ask a lot of questions.  Be really suspicious of people who decide to evade rather than answer.

My day job requires me to ask questions, a lot of questions.  I listen to answers and ask follow up questions depending on the answers.  Sometimes it's real obvious when somebody is giving evasive answers or otherwise trying to snow the question asker.

Money management is one key aspect of sports wagering.  Picking winners is another.

I decided not to sweat SN's MM.  I think he's for real even though I don't claim to understand it.  SN doesn't have to answer to me or anybody else for that matter.  SN is not my adviser nor is he my fiduciary.

SN picks winners.  He posts them before the beginning of the events for all to see.  The results of the events come in.  SN record on his picks are transparent and verifiable.

SN's picks are money.  I can follow them or not as I choose.  I appreciate SN posting his picks.  Maybe that makes me a troll or a bottom feeder or a [insert derogatory term here].  With respect to the NFL this season, I have been amazed at SN's ability to consistently pick winners.  With his win/loss ratio, one would have to have an awful money management system not to be profitable.

Thanks for sharing your insight SN.  I hope you keep posting.  Anybody who doesn't like SN's money management commentary needs to simply look elsewhere.  I just don't see what good it does to impune one's integrity when the one being criticized is providing information at no cost that others charge for.
