    Kreatture,

Great day, man.  It does look like the live in game is your nitch with this thread.  That makes it pretty hard for followers.  What site do you use for those?  My site didn't offer that +600 no score option you took.

Reality Check, whats up man?  What happened to your underdog selection thread?  It went up in the air after like 2 days and it was winning.  You didn't even last as long as Thinker, lol.

Wow, Kreatture.  I've been staying away from the forums for the last few days and now I come back to check out of curiosity and I see you've scored big on your New Thread Debut.  Glad to see a no-nonsense approach to sports wagering in this thread. I forsee a much less-cluttered and more civil thread here, although you can count on the Monday-morning QB's to come out when you hit a few losers in a row(why don't they ever post their critiques BEFORE the event?).  Anyway,I like the style and the business plan of your new thread, that being to find an event that has enough value to wager on it, no matter what sport or wager classification it's in.  BOL  and I will be eyeing your suggestions closely.

This is just plain fun to read as well.  Literate, grammatically sound, lots of action.  It's as if Elmore Leonard decided to write a novel about sports investment!

    BANKROLL: $10,866.33
    OVERALL RECORD: 6-2    (75%)

    INVESTED: $1249.15

    RETURNED: $2115.48
    PROFIT: +$866.33
    ROI %: +69.35%

Won't be home before game time to post tonight, so not sure if this will post as nicely from where I'm at, but here is what I like tonight.

    NHL

    Boston Bruins -0.5 (+100) (Regulation)

    2% $217.33 to win $217.33

    Boston Bruins -1.5 (+166) (Puckline)

    1% $108.66 to win $180.38

Boston is one of the better teams in the League and are especially tough at home despite only being 8-5-3 this season. The last time Anaheim walked into this building (Oct. last year) they embarrassed the B's in front of their home crowd by a tune of 6-1. I expect Boston to remember this quite clearly tonight. The Ducks continue their season long 7-game road trip, they are a long ways away from the friendly confines of the Duck Pond tonight. I don't expect them to have much motivation. Altho Boston typically plays close games, I'm sprinkling a little on the PL as well here.

    Calgary/Minnesota  Under 5 (+100)

    1% $108.66 to win $108.66

These 2 teams always seem to play low-scoring, close games, and I expect Kipper and Backstrom to both be solid once again tonight.

    NBA

    Dallas Mavericks +7 (-110)

    2% $217.33 to win $197.57

Miami is on a great run and I've been running with them, but I think this is just a couple too many points tonight against one of the League's Powerhouses. This is the kind of team who were able to run over Miami earlier on, and I expect the Mavs to hang around in this one at the very least. If I could have found another game, this is one instance where I would add points on a Teaser and bump it to +12. I might tease the NFL total down tonight and play the Over with this, but as of right now.. just Mavs +7.

This is the final card which has been cut down from 9 leans which were created this morning. Check back before NFL kick-off to see I like anything more than I do right now. Initial leans were Minnesota +9 & Over 33, but not worth locking in right now.

    Cheers

    Cheers

GL Kreatture.. I notice the style of this thread is much different than your previous ones, i.e - no chasing ..does this mean that you have given up on the chases and moved more towards handicapping ?.

I could have got that at Over 13 earlier, but really thought I'd be home over an hour ago. I don't think it will matter, but it will suck if they land on 14.

I might look at some Live Wagering here, since I didn't get any other play in. I'm on the Vikings to keep it close and maybe even win tonight, and I liked the Over 33 heading in..

I'll answer the questions and comments from earlier later..

When I get the Blog up and running, it will be linked with my Twitter feed, and my Twitter feed always has plays quite early.
Remember, I said this originally wasn't going to be ready til the New Year, and with it being Xmas week I'm not going to be home sometimes until almost game time, so it may be a little tough to tail all the plays exactly right now.

Fortunately, this isn't on any schedule and there will be plenty of time for this well into next year, so don't get all jittery from missing a few plays right now.

If anyone is on Twitter currently, you can search me out and add me, same user name.

Well Minnesota scored quick, that's gonna kill a lot of value with the Live Wagering tonight. Right now Chi ML is -130 and Viks are -110.
I went to put Minny in at +150 just before the mid-field pass and it closed.

I'm pretty exhausted tonight and not feeling the best, so I may just forget about it tonight.

    That they did.

As for Boston, seems like it should be hung on Thomas for a change.  Three goals on 15 shots, while Hiller has stopped all 31.  On any given night, I guess.

GL k-man.  Always good to see your threads.  I'll be following for sure.  I'm still around, just haven't been posting.  Been VERY busy at the new job I started this summer.  Btw, I think I discovered the most infallible system ever...it's called the "don't post" system!  I cleaned up in NCAA football this year and I'm convinced had a posted plays here, my system would have tanked.  Nothing kills a system like taking it public.  Kidding of course, but it is uncanny sometimes.  I wish you the best and I'm sure you'll crush it!  I'll be watching your thread closely.  You've inspired me a little to get back into posting...maybe I'll roll out my NCAAb system in a thread.

Leprechaun! Hey good to hear from you buddy! Thanks for taking the time to drop by, glad to hear you killed the NCAAF board this Fall, I know what you mean about the posting jinx. See it all too many times.

Would love to see you start up a thread and give it another go! Would also love to see the Vikings somehow make another score.. this was an easy winner with Favre playing tonight, horrible.. Jesus, another turnover!!!
At this point I'm happy to get the push.. kickin myself for not putting in the TT 13 around 5pm.

Look forward to seeing you some more, take care!

First, thanks to everyone for the comments above. Instead of thanking everyone individually with separate posts, I'll just say 1 big Thank You!

I've adapted to the proper way to run this thing as a Business. Chasing was a great style for me when I first started out. It allowed me to quickly increase my bankroll when my starting amount was pretty low (if anyone remembers my very first thread, you'll remember I started with $500 last May). I had the luxury of following a couple of really great MLB Systems and the one I created myself and within 5 weeks had turned it into $3500. There were many, many nights however when I was pretty much "all-in" and was able to pull out wins when my back was against the wall.

I think it's really hard to make a living from this Business (actually, impossible) by running your Bankroll the proper way without having a good sized amount to draw from. You can't play 2% or 4% per play when your total bank is only $1000. It would take a long time to get to an amount where you could consistently withdraw funds from your roll to live on, while maintaining a healthy roll. If this is only a hobby, then sure, ok, you can make a little money on the side. That's great if that's your only goal. Fuckin fuck the kid just threw another pic, I was waiting for that..  But if you want to make serious money with this, well the old saying "It takes money, to make money" is the absolute truth.

When you're chasing with a small amount then it's no big deal if you lose. Eventually you will, make no mistake of that, so you just need to know when to pull out with your winnings. Your NHL ODD Thread is a perfect example. It's only $100, so big deal when it loses you're only out $100 and you had a lot of fun doing that and will definitely learn a lot from doing it. I see you've all ready started another thread cuz you learned something all ready, that's great.

If it was possible to run a successful chase system for big bucks, someone probably would have already designed it. The only way to make your Bankroll a successful Business is through hard work, discipline, patience, and a little bit of luck. This is still the toughest mental thing I have ever done. This is way harder than any other job I've ever done. And I absolutely love it and wouldn't change that for anything!

I use Intertops Sportsbook for Live Wagering. It has a very nice interface which constantly updates by itself so I can just sit back and watch the game while keeping an eye on the screen. I tried Pinnacle's and it was extremely annoying having to hit refresh after every play.

I think Intertops is a great little Sportsbook and it's the best US Book I've ever dealt with.

    BANKROLL: $10,737.91
    OVERALL RECORD: 7-4-2    (63.6%)

The Bruins laid an egg tonight and a couple of hard-luck pushes result in a minor loss. A little mad at myself for not betting the Vikings TT Over 13 earlier, but I had to be sure Favre was starting before it became extremely valuable. As you saw, the kid rookie couldn't do much and they could have been shut out if he had started. If I could have just got a couple more drives in with Favre I have no doubt it was an easy winner.

Did well on my initial leans today, which I do like to see even tho I cut them off. Picked the wrong Under in the NHL, was going with Van/StL and then switched it. Also had the same 2 plays for the Bruins, on the Pens, before cutting them off. The Clippers -3.5 was my other big NBA play for tonight, and as I see them up 16 nearing the end of the 3rd, I wish I had put them on the card.

Any losing night is always somewhat disappointing, but it's going to happen. As in poker, we play small pots and try to minimize our losing hands while getting maximum value out of our monsters.

It takes a fair bit to rattle me in this Business nowadays, and that's the goal everyone should strive for. Cut out the emotion as much as possible. Try placing your wagers for a night, then don't watch a single game or highlight until your last game is over. See if you can do it, it's pretty damn hard.. but it will help get you out of the mentality of a Gambler, and into the thought process of an Investor.

I braved the malls tonight and did some shopping, now my throat is making me pay.. definitely a little run down and can feel it all over. Morning will come all too early..

    Good Night

On Pinny, switch to Dynamic odds and it updates better than any sportsbook on the internet (because it changes in real time as oppose to waiting for auto-refreshes). Pinny still sucks for live betting though because the lines change so fast that the time to enter in your wager and confirm often takes too long.

Thanks DJ, that's what I want is real-time changing, which is what Intertops does. It's not an auto-refresh there either. I did notice last month when I was trying to do some live wagering on Pinny that the odds did change at an unrealistic time-frame, which made it very discouraging. I'm pretty quick at it now and it still caused me a few headaches.

I'll take a look at the Dynamic again when I do another Live game.

    Cheers

HaHa, yeah it was a frustrating finish, 4 times in Chicago territory in the 4th Q and came away with nothing.

I'm pretty sick today so not sure how well the brain will cooperate today. Numbers are my strong suit and I've already had a couple of issues today (since when did they quit having 24 months in a year?!?!) Yeah, like that.. I'm going to post the morning Leans, meaning the games I'll be monitoring throughout the day, and then go from there. Eventually, after Xmas once time permits me, I want to show you guys more about how I actually handicap games. You should never just look at the list an hour before game time and then make a couple of selections. Games should be looked at in the morning and followed throughout the day for line movement, public perception, player news, weather conditions, etc. This is mainly why I have a Twitter account (I actually have 2 accounts and one is following just all the beat writers), cuz every team has a beat writer and they are all on Twitter and provide valuable team and player information throughout the day. Free inside info is a beautiful thing and can really help out.

I'm going to have to keep my posts short and sweet today cuz I can't remember what I wrote 10 lines ago and will probably end up repeating the same thing.. so sorry if I don't make a lot of sense today.

    Cheers
