To be perfectly honest with you guys.. there's no value in betting Canada tonight. The regulation line is -313, zero value whatsoever. If you want value, Russia +525.. huge value and they could win. I think Canada will win, but you can't bet them tonight. What's the point? And there's no way in Hell I will bet on the Russians.
Tonight's Gold Medal game is a no play for me. I'll just enjoy watching it (hopefully).

Only way Canada wins by that much is if they take a boatload of penalties. Their PK blows, and Canada's PP is smokin. The ML has dropped to -300, which means squat in terms of value.

Russia has been on fire since dropping the first 2 games. Canada was sloppy against the Swedes but dominated the USA.. which Team Canada shows up tonight??
Emotion aside, a non-play here on Russia is quite foolish actually.. I mean, come on.. +525 for the Russians to win!?! Canada could beat them 5-2.. but would it be a complete shock if Russia won 4-3? I doubt any of us proud Canadians would say so..
I hope Canada scores early and often, and beats the snot out of them 8-0.. but this is just a bad non-play to let it go.. if it was only +350 I still wouldn't make it, but come on.. +525?!?!

I don't like the fact the Russians were able to watch the Canadians practice this morning because they got their ice time mixed up.. and maybe it's just serious patriotic nerves as game time approaches.. but I'll happily throw away $66 for a Canadian Gold Medal. If Russia wins I'll put those winnings towards tickets to next year's Juniors! LoL

Hey, PIT scored 5 goals in 1st, but ONLY 2 in 2nd - should we be worried they are easing up and we could lose this bet in the 3rd period? (I hate when people generally make dumb comments like that - but I couldn't resist - nice bet there Kreatture - and again, great start to 2011 - keep it up!!!)

I looked for an In-Game wager on Tampa Bay to hedge.. a $1 bet at +30,000.. couldn't find it
Was gonna be a 5% play, but I usually limit NHL to a 3% max play. Bolts were easy pickins tonight after emotional revenge win last night.

$1,295 Cdn for Lower Bowl seats in Edmonton. $360 for Standing Room. That's where Canada will play their games.. that's PER ticket. Apparently you have to enter a priority draw and they will email me next week if I can buy tickets.
Might have to make my first withdraw to purchase 2 tickets! Better have a good week!

Always have to remember that they are only kids. I find it is easy to forget during the game. Sure, they're kinda gangly, but they play awesome hockey.
During post-game interviews, it comes back. You see a pimply-faced teenager at that point, and remember that this shouldn't be the high or low point of their lives, nor should they be responsible for a nation's psyche.
An excellent effort by a group of big-hearted kids who will soon star in the NHL. They did their country proud. Go Canada!

2nd Half plays didn't work out last night, wtf is wrong with this Denver team?!!? They have as much talent as anyone and can't shoot worth shit on the road. It was nice of the Jazz to mail it in at halftime. I'm sure the home crowd really appreciated spending their money to watch that..
Huge moose on the Lakers.. 8 seconds left and Phoenix runs around trying to foul someone and can't even manage to get a hand on 1 Laker. A single free throw would have done the job but instead had to settle for the push.
If we include the afternoon USA game it was another very nice, profitable day. Back later with tonight's action.
