Yeah.. rough weekend. The best System I played all season is even letting me down now when I need it the most.

I didn't play the Yankees today, and I won't be playing them on Sunday either. The juice is too high to back a team which has absolutely nothing to play for.
It would probably be profitable to go against the Yankees from here on out. At +250 every night, I'm sure you could do quite well.
I played Minnesota this afternoon instead, so lost, but not as much as if had played New York. Down about $270 this weekend on this series.

I did play Detroit tonight tho for the full amount.. over $700 gone on them this weekend.. they shouldn't even be allowed to go to the Playoffs, they are such a bad team. They are lucky they play in such a crap division.. easily the worst division in baseball. The Yankees are going to sweep them away very quickly in the 1st round (providing Boston hangs onto the Wild Card, which I think they will). Their bullpen blows worse than Philadelphia's.. which is saying something..

Texas is just a regular Game2 tomorrow, no biggie there.

Boston won tonight, but I only played it for a $35 Unit, so that doesn't really soften the blow much.

Add all that up with the catastrophic RunLine losses mid-week (about $900, thanks to a careless, over inflated wager on Cliff Lee vs. Washington Wednesday night) and I have erased 2 months of profits.. my bankroll now sits at the point where it was way back on June 29th. Sitting down about 40 Units this week.. you can understand my disappointment.

My favorite thing in the whole wide world - NFL football - starts a full slate of games in about 9 hours and I can't even be too excited for it.

Sunday is going to be my last ditch effort.. my hail mary so to speak. Fortunately I have a couple of "trick plays" from my "special teams" which I hope will work.

For my documentation purposes of this thread, I will be posting what I am playing tomorrow once it is finalized. The 2 Double Headers tomorrow will be the only focus in MLB, and NFL action will also be highlighted.

Oh, I guess I did hit the Marlins RL tonight for +$50 too, but feels like it's easy to lose that win amongst the barrage of losses..

Funny you say that, i got a large wager on the tigers, 2 for 47 to win world series. Put this in before the season started, hopefully they hang on and don't meltdown like the mets of years past... They were red hot 8-2  before the last 5 which they gone 1-4.

It would be great for me if TEX wins wildcard cause they would face the angels and have a better chance, either way if they hang on im hedging this for sure on the series bet.

Well, this is it for me.. if I go down today I will have enough for 1 more last effort tomorrow night with the Patriots and Chargers.
3 games, all on the moneyline only, altho I expect all 3 to cover the spread.
Been going over things for the past 12 hours, unable to sleep, and have decided on these games. The Ravens were originally in, but something just scares me there for some reason.. and something is very fishy with the Vikings/Browns game.
My book has chosen this of all the early games to do Live Wagering on.. the World is on Minnesota, why would they offer this game and stand to lose their shirt..?  I think the Vikings should roll them, but maybe the fix is in for this one. Let's hope not.

Tons of Live Wagering for me today, with the Vikings/Browns game, followed by the Redskins/Giants game, and then the Bears/Packers game. Hopefully it will all work out at the end of the day.

Yes, it has been up since last Friday .. called NFL '09 Strategic Wagering

no more on the MLB home team system?

Yesterday was pretty sweet, earned +$622 between NFL and the Woman's US OPEN Tennis Final.
12-2 Straight Up, and 11-3 ATS in Week 1, not a bad start. Lost the Cincinnati game, Houston game, and the Indianapolis cover.

Currently Live Wagering on Roger Federer/Juan Martin Del Potro US OPEN Men's Tennis Final.. up +$50 so far.
Was gonna bet Del Potro to win the 2nd set after was down 5-4.. just felt like he was startin to really play better .. was +1200, damn.. in a tie-break now.

Think I'm leaving baseball alone again tonight.. but there's MNF !!

Thank You, but there is not much I am playing tonight.

The Hfoudl plays are Toronto and Houston, but I have decided to only track that System for the remainder of the season, and not play it anymore. It was pretty good I think on the Individual games but it was lousy on the Chase this season.

The Top 5 Home Team System has no plays tonight, there will be 1 play starting tomorrow night in Colorado.

I had decided to shut down the RunLine Blitz for the remainder of the season, but decided to re-open it over the weekend. I have gone back to playing just the biggest fav of the day. The spreadsheets are still updated, but I haven't posted the plays here since they can be found in prof8t's thread.

I didn't play anything in NFL this weekend, strangely enough. I didn't want to force anything when nothing really stood out to me, other than New Orleans and Baltimore. I am, however, playing a parley tonight. Miami +3 / Under 41

I have Miami picked to win this game 20-17 in my local pool. Was pretty disappointed in the Cowboys finish last night, as I had picked 31-30 as the final score for Dallas. Couldn't believe it looked like I was going to hit it right on, just to lose it at the end, lol.

Why are the Royals suddenly the best team in baseball, just like the first month of the season?!?! Boston blew multiple big leads last night. They are only 5 back of the Yankees for the Division crown, and the Yankees have a tough series in Anaheim. I would expect the Red Sox to get it done tonight, even with Grienke on the hill. I haven't decided if I will begin a 3 game chase on Boston tonight or not.. it would probably be a good investment tho.

9-11    I did that with Nyy at home ML -292 against Bal     Lost
9-12    So I took played Nyy  RL / -150 just to win back my 292 risking now 456
They got creamed............
Total losses = 748
Just didn't want to go for winning 848 at ML-320 with CC on the mound
And they won
But risking 2,713 to win 100????????????

Son of a.. I had like a 10 minute typed post and I hit submit and then realized my internet went down for some reason.. and then of course, I don't see an undo button anywhere, altho I think there's a keystroke way to get it back??

Anyways.. short an sweet now..

Altho I think it's great value tonight for Boston, if they lose you know it's gonna be like -250, -300 tomorrow with Beckett throwing, so I've decided not to play the Red Sox right now. If that Division gets tighter heading into the weekend, then I will look at things again.

The Miami game hurt the most cuz the Colts are my team.. wagering against your team sucks, and I NEVER do it.. until now     So at least I am happy the Colts are 2-0!  

I only lost $18 playing the parley, so no big loss there. Play was to win +$50 ($18 to win $68)

I have been looking at parleying 2-4 teams down the stretch (Dodgers, Rockies, Yankees, Red Sox) but haven't figured out a way I really like yet..  looked at a round robin, but then remembered round robins really do suck. Thought about doing two 2-team parleys (Dodgers/Rockies , Yanks/Sox) ? Then a smaller wager on the 4-teamer? I dunno.. I decided not to do anything there tonight since I all reay have Colorado ML and RL. If they win tonight, then maybe something will present itself tomorrow..?

Any thoughts?

When I decided to do that Nyy chase it was on my own accord from capping
It wasn't one of your plays or any system either
Of course the game isn't played on paper but after researching through at least I assumed that they would lose the 1st 2
I know that you know about the juice and all with chasing on the ML
Just saying though.........
I feel ya though about sticking with it and hedging the RL with ML as insurance cause what like 30% of games or so end with 1 run
But damn..........

Some might be pissed that Colorado gave up 4 in the 9th to only win by 1 tonight.. I, on the other hand, am thrilled!

With a shootout game like that, you hope to just be on the right side when the dust settles. It could have been worse, they could have given up SIX in the 9th.. and lost!!

I'll take the ML win for the Top 5 Home Team, and get back on the horse tomorrow for the RunLine Blitz game!

Looks like Colorado again, Marquis had better shape up, they need him better than he's been lately with the Playoffs on the horizon!
