Wish I have had the balls to play Milwaukee and the Mets +1.5 as well. Especially the Mets, I had strong numbers supporting them and I looked it over and over for about 30 minutes trying to convince myself to play it, but I didn't. I wanted better than +100 but couldn't get it right before game time. Ah well.

Well this is just a downright disastrous evening..
This is the 1st and only night I will be tailing other people's NCAA plays. I know absolutely nothing about all those teams and shouldn't be having anything to do with it.
If you ever see any more NCAA plays from me here, please slap me.
A big hole to dig out of now and try to salvage the week with minimal losses.
Just stick to the System.. someday maybe I'll learn..

Jwager what do you except a 5 and 0 night every night? Kreatture has been damn good with the picks along with the spreadsheet!! When there has been loses it seems we always get it back. As long as your money management is good there is nothing to worry about. I have made money following these picks and i have nothing to complain about. As far as I'm concerned Kreatture good up the good work it was just a bad night!!

Maybe if you actually took a bit of time to read through the entire thread and knew what was going on here, instead of jumping to the final page of a thread and jumping on someone's plays who you know absolutely nothing about, then maybe I would care..

I am doing this to have a place to document my journey, and to share and learn from others here who are also on a similar journey. Kreature, what's up bro?
I am so with you on the NCAA. I think you are probably like me and gut sucked into the euphoria of Football starting again. Probably spent some time on the NCAA forum reading up some insight from last years successful cappers.
So you decide to make some plays. Then they lose, and you think to yourself, why the F did I tail anyone? I never do that, and when I do, I lose.
When I cap my own games and follow my own gut, I do pretty damned good on NCAA Football.
That's what happened to me anyway. I'm pissed for tailing the whole damn forum on NC State (did not feel strong about that one but followed the consensus), when I should have played my personal gut pick with Boise St. (which salvaged some of the night for me).
I think, for me personally, reading the forums screws up my thinking on games. I've done this with MLB and now NCAAF. You can get too many opinions and get twisted around on your own thinking. Gotta trust your own gut. And when you read about a game you don't have a gut feeling on, you can easily get perswaded to take a side without any reason other than so and so with 27,000 posts said he LOVED that game, and then it's really just gambling.
No biggie. Was just one night. GL tonight.

Nole, you hit the nail right on the head! NFL football is my favorite sport in the whole world, so when I finally got to see the next best thing last night, NCAA, the euphoria definitely kicked in and swept me away.
But it's not the forums which got me, it was TV..
Up here in Canada there is a channel called The Score, and it is by far the best sports channel I have ever seen. Well on weeknights they have a score called Morency, hosted by Gabe Morency and Cam Stewart, and they are the best thing on TV to watch. Not for there picks, but for the stitches they will leave you in from laughing your ass off. Very funny guys, always entertaining.
After that program, they then host a show called Covers Experts, which obviously, is based from the Covers Experts website. Every night they have a guest from Ted Sevansky, Steve Merrill, Marc Lawrence, Dave Malinsky, etc. All the Covers Experts here on the site. It's a very entertaining show, with a lot of great information. BUT, the picks they give at the end of the show for the night, plus the random breakdown of games throughout the show, are rarely right. Cam Stewart has to be one of the worst cappers I have ever seen. I have to believe their sports account is funded by TheScore, and not their own personal funds, cuz they would have been broke 10 times over by now. And the ONLY Covers Expert I rely on listening to is Dave Malinsky. His free pick of the day has an incredible record on the show, and when he talks about games you can just tell he really knows his stuff. Steve Merrill is fairly good too, but the others rarely get their free pick right.
I got caught up last night with their Utah -21 pick, the Oregan +3.5 (which I teased to +10 and still lost!), and their Oregan/Boise Over 64. They actually had 1 right, they were on North Texas, but I had all ready locked in Ball State as I got that pick from The Sports Investing Professionals free pick of the day.
You're right about sticking to your own gut and following the System which has worked. Every 3 weeks or so I lose control for one night and suffer mammouth losses, then have to grind it out hardcore for the next 5 weeks to recover. If I just stick to my Systems then I would be cruising right now.
Another lesson learned. Time to rebound this weekend once again!

I was not bashing on your plays....I follow HFODL from past post and saw that you doing the same. TOMSPeople does not post these plays anymore. It is my fault following your NFL and NCAA football without watching results first. I am a little behind but will live to fight another week.

Another tough night on the head.. hit the Top5 Home Team and NFL Over play, but struggled with the RunLine games once again, this time not even breaking the .500 mark. Had 2 tough 1 run wins. I am very surprised by a couple of the games tonight. But this might play into my hands and set up some good looking plays for tomorrow.
I know a lot of you are playing the Top 5 Home Team plays, so at least that was a big winner. Congrats on that win guys.
I am going to continue this structure for the RunLine games through the weekend, and re-evaluate after that.
I may decide after this weekend to stop the RunLine plays, and play ML's instead. If I had done that tonight it would have resulted in a 6-5 record anyway.
Overall for the night, I finished down $3.93. Far better than last nights $454 loss..
Tomorrow is another day!

Well it was looking like a nice 3-1 day until all this bullshit just happened..
Tampa Bay up 3-1 Top9, 1 out no one on, proceeds to give up a grand slam and lose 5-3. That is a tough loss when you have +1.5 insurance and UP 2 in the 9th..
Florida led 4-2 Bot9 then gives up a lead-off homer to a great long ball hitter, Willy Harris (the sarcasm in the text doesn't come out nearly as much as the anger in my eyes..), then they just go ahead and lose the game all together with a Ryan Zimmerman long ball, 5-4 Washington..
Boston leads 3-0 with another gem by Lester in the 7th.. I wonder what Papelbon has up his sleeve today to make it interesting..
And the Braves.. man I don't even want to get started on the Braves.. I feel bad for their fans, it's tough to cheer for a team with no heart whatsoever. The chances of a walk-off multi-run homer I expect are slim.. be surprised if they even win the game. But would be nice if they did.. by 2.
I see St. Louis just blew a 9th inning lead as well, giving up 2 in Bot9 to lose 6-5 to Pittsburgh..
What the hell happened to all the closers today.. can't depend on anything nowadays....
