I mean they are V-3 Plays. Not like it makes a difference. Pretty soon there'll be V-38.

Definatly getting a little hectic with all these plays... Even guys running different MM are scratching their heads myself included.

Thinking long term and just not on the next play is my advice...atleast thats what I am telling myself.

    V3.0 System UPDATE:
The update here is designed to allow you even more betting opportunities during the course of the baseball season by taking advantage of the unofficial plays that fall outside of the acceptable level of RPI difference between the two teams.
The addition to this new v3.0 system is that you want to make a wager for the team that previously did the sweep (NOT the team that was swept previously!) if the following 2 criteria are met:
    1. The team that they swept previously came back and beat them on the very first game of theirrematch series.
    2. They have an RPI of at least .025 or higher than their opponent.
If your bet loses, you would go on and make a [b] bet for the same team the next day. Most of the v3.0 bets will involve betting on a 2-game series. However, In some rare cases you can also make a [C] bet if both your [A] and [b] bet lose, and the series rematch is a 4-game series allowing you an extra final game to make a [C] wager

    [/Quote]

According to those "parameters" Colorado & Texas would be v3 plays.

It says if they came back and beat them. Does that mean they just win the game the game or they were losing in the game and then came back to win ?

Keep it simple.  All it means is that the "unofficial pick" won its [A] bet.  Then the second game of the series you switch horses and play the other team for your v3 [A] bet.

    Example.

    1) Colorado swept Pittsburgh earlier in the season.
    2)  Colorado has an rpi that is more than .025 greater than Pittsburgh's.
    3)  Colorado and Pittsburgh just started a new series yesterday making Pittsburgh the "unofficial" [A] pick.
    4)  Pittsburgh won the 1st game of the new series.
    NOW
    5)  v3 says to pick Colorado as an [A] bet.

Same set of circumstances applies to the Rangers against the Indians tonight.  Rangers is the v3 [A] bet tonight.

Looking to squeeze something else right about now, and it ain't no lemons.

I think this is geared so that if the RPI are vastly different the worse of the two teams almost NEVER turns the tables and sweeps three in a row from the better team.  So, most likely, according to Tan "the man" Morrison, the first game was a fluke (since it was an unofficial play to begin with).

RANGERS and ROCKS roll tonight !!

Has anyone back tested these V-3 plays?

I'd beware of JM having sooooo many versions and plays, that it will be difficult for people to post them on boards... let's not forget this guy is smart....

We all know its getting confusion, I just hope its not getting confused for a reason....

In V-3 what would happen if, lets say Colorado would have won last night.... Would we play them tonight, or lay off?

According to JM, you would play Pittsburgh as a [B] bet of the unofficial chase (but only if you had played them on the [A] the night before).  You could even start a two game chase on Pittsburgh if you didn't.

As for V3, that would not come into play...

Let me try to see if I can simplify V2 and V3.  V2 would be played using the official V1 series only.  V3 is played using the unofficial V1 series.

    Determining series:
    1)  Wait for a series to begin between two teams where one team swept a three-game series from the other.
    2)  If the teams are about even (RPI difference < 0.015), it's an official series, otherwise it's an unofficial series.

    For official series:
    1)  Play the team that was swept last time for 3 games.
    2)  If that team loses the [A] bet by more than 3 runs, V2 kicks in and says to play on the same team again and bet a higher [B] bet.
    3)  If the same team loses [B] by more than 3 runs again, play even higher [C] bet.

The thinking is, for teams that are evenly matched, neither team should sweep (and both teams should win at least one game in the series).

    For unofficial bets:
    1)  Play the team that was swept for 3 games
    2)  If that team WINS the [A] bet, you win the unofficial series.
    3)  Otherwise play them for the [B] and [C] bets.

In addition, if you win the bet in 2) and that team has an RPI of 0.025 lower than the opponent, V3 kicks in and says to play the stronger team (in this case the other team) for the remaining two (or three) game chase.

The thinking here is that if the weaker team won, it was probably a fluke, so betting the stronger team to win one of the final two games is a good proposition.

Also I thought I read something about home teams - someone please verify.  I thought if the home team was the stronger of the two teams and lost the first game of the series, after sweeping the opponent previously, you would make a higher V3 [A] bet on the home team for the second game of that three-game series.  However, more than likely the juice would be in the -200 range.  It's like the Yankees losing at home, they just don't do it often.

We all know its getting confusion, I just hope its not getting confused for a reason....

Funny, I don't find any of it the least bit confusing . . . and I ain't that smart.  I guess the reason is because I actually purchased the material (see--I told ya I wasn't that smart) and read it.  It's laid out in a clear, easy to understand format.  It's only a couple of pages long so there isn't that much of it to read.  And for my money, because I bought it, the best thing is that I don't have to figure any of it out because I get the picks in my email on the day they occur.  I always look at the stats before I place my wager to confirm what it is I think I understand about why the bet is made.  But it isn't confusing at all.

On another thread under Systems & Strategies, those guys are using some sort of mathematical  equations they call sabermetrics to handicap the games.  From what I understand it takes the 2-3 hours a day.  That doesn't include the time it takes to learn sabermetrics.  It is very interesting and apparently very profitable--if you can figure it out.  To me, sabermetrics is confusing as it can be.  You see, I flunked counting in school.  As an aside, there are only 3 kinds of people in the world 1) those who can count and 2) those who can't.

Like I said, I ain't that smart and the JM system is extremely easy to understand and use.  Even if you don't purchase his system, if you read through this thead and the other one that went to the penalty box, it's all laid out.  But some people don't want to even take the little time necessary to read thourgh and take for free what others say is a rip off to buy.  Yeay, I spent some money on the systems but I have made much, much more on paper  to date than I paid for the systems, and it takes only a few minutes a day.

      Easy peezy japaneazy.

Exactly where this thead is destined to end up. The intrusion of an "amateur shill" with transparent marketing commentary, only insults the intelligence of those who participate, and contribute(he clearly does neither) his dedication is geared towards jm, in the form of consistently performing felatio, with drama, connected to attitude..to those who are 'real'..may you prosper always
