$500 bankroll isn't very much money but if that's what you have to work with then you must make it grow. Usually you are going to bet any where between 2-5% of your bankroll to be safe. So as you can see you will be risking $10 on 2%. If you can't stick to that amount then I would suggest you wait until you save a little more $. If you go with PSIC you will probably be using his Labourchere money management system, which I think is a good way to manage your bankroll. Before covers banned PSIC, he would give all kinds of good info on these threads, then again I probably would have banned him too, because of all the business he would take away from the covers handicappers. You can still find out a lot of info in the archives, just search PSIC and start reading, there's a lot there! Let me know if you have other questions, oh and I accepted you as a friend also.

Marlon - I have been researching PSIC and am going to join, but I am a bit confused between the two services (Sports Informatoin Gold and PSIC). SIG is a single fee for lifetime, it looks like PSIC is annual fees....what's the difference?
Also, thanks for sharing your experiences on this. Certainly makes it easier than wading through all the crap to get good info.

The Sports Investing Gold is basically his book he wrote with all his secrets/systems, it's more a do it yourself thing. It's a great thing to have especially if you want to come up with the plays yourself. The Platnuim service is all his plays, which includes football, basketball, baseball and the college as well, he did pretty damn good with his college totals this year. I don't know how PSIC sells his service now a days but when I signed up that was the deal I got. Plus, like I told UKLAD a couple of weeks ago I get some tennis, hockey and halftime plays from him as well, of corse I pay more but it's worth it! I just did some research and discovered that buying the 3 points actually only helped in 7 games all season. I think it helped 4 A games and 3 B games. May be more advantagous to drop the 3 points.
so 54-31 (63.5%) flatbetting
I think you would need to factor in what the next game(s) result would have been for those 7 losses (i.e. did the 4 "A" games lost without the 3 points win on "B" or "C" without the three points and did the 3 "B" games lost win on "C" bet)

Here's the deal. Buying points is very underrated, let's just say I know a guy that knows a guy that did some research on buying 3 points. Well they came up with the notion that a 3 point buy was really worth almost -200 instead of what most books have it at which is -170! So as you can see you are getting a bargin. The reason why it's worth almost -200 is because it changes the outcome of your wager more times then you think it does. Just in the past few weeks the 3 point buy saved me 6 times. It's not always going to get you a win but I am convinced that in the long run you will be better off!
Hell, there's a reason why no where in Vegas will they let you buy points. Not one casino!!
There's a little more to the story about the research, but the bottom line is -170 is a deal.
