Ban, I think this system was developed during that NBA period when there was no jump ball to start the game.  I think at the time the start was decided by a coin flip as to which team would start the game on an inbound play.   The rule was changed back to the jump ball start a number of years ago.  I think HAT's current strategy is to play to win the first half and if it doesn't win, he then plays the second half to win.  River just plays the first half.

Getting the start means the bookmakers are giving that team a headstart
Eg: today the Boson Celtics have a 4pt "start" "headstart" or being given 4pts.
I believe Jeff continues into the 2nd half but that's too hard to be able to do here in Australia as games occur at around midday.

how is it doing on the year? I'm assuming that a chase hasn't lost 4 games in a row. Also how many lines have you cleared on your labby lines?

what are you talking about? you not only sound clueless, but your Bullshitt commentary pertaining to a jump ball starting a NBA game is totally asinine to say the least " a coin flip" to start the game on a inbound play?? get real, and come into focus with the realities of the NBA (every NBA game to date (since1949) has been activated by a 'Jump Ball' ....this thread as the author has indicated is based solely on the absurdity of a blind-bet-trend. what may I ask does the jumpball have to do with anything? and where did you even remotely get your information pertaining to a coin flip? please post the link to obstruct your ignorance....

Play: #702 Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5  @ -110  [1st Half]

This is the incorrect play.

The correct play is  WAS (701) +5.5 for the first half.  You always play the dog.

appreciate your insight OIL, I was under the impression "you always play the Home team" confusion from the original thread, oh well...your point is well taken...'play the dog' tonight, (701) WAS +5.5 -vs- CLE

I stand corrected.  Got confused with alternating possession rule which came into effect while I was away from the USA and American sports -  last century. I apologize to everyone in the thread.  You are absolutely correct, I am NOT a sports authority.  GL.

However, Washington -10  is the game favorite, but are listed as the +2 DOG (ironically) for the 1st Half

What team qualifies for the 'Rotation Game' ???

understanding, this is the early line put out by BetGrande and may or may not swing to the other side, let's just say it stays where it's at LAL-2 [1st Half] does this identify WAS +2 as the [1st Half] play? even though L.A. is the -10 game dog, but is the -2 favorite for the 1st Half? what's up?

To my understanding WAS +2 1st half would be the play. One thing I'm not fully clear on is if JTH played this system as a 1h and 2nd half chase?  I've been putzing around with it for fun with the first half only using a labouchere MM strategy similar to Rivermonsters

Again, the most absurd, ridiculous strategy ever lol, but with the labby it can work.
