It's your call man, it's not even close to game time. Personally, if the line is jumping back and forth between the two teams it's a sign for me to stay away unless I have a strong lean towards one side.
STL has scored 1 run in three games. I love their line-up today but you really never know who's going to show up.

Plus, I personally like both of these match-ups. The Padres are going to be a play against RPI system. I hate being on the other side, but I believe in this strategy. I guess well see how it plays out.

A strategy I filter in as well is a team @ home after an offday if they aren't favored by more then -120 and the opponent played the prior day.
Also - another strategy I put into play is a streaking team heading on the road, or a streaking team on the road heading home.
Last but not least, I've been fading Lincecum all year - to note, Lincecum/Bass were the starters back on April 28th @ AT&T Park where the Giants were 2-1 winners.
Basically - I'll be on the Padres ML and would love to see if your strategy pairs up with my play/thoughts.
Oddsmakers have given up on Lincecum - he's @ -108 right now @ a pitchers park.

Never a bad a move, sometimes that happens as the money being played is bouncing between both teams. As long as it doesn't make a big jump you should be OK to play it, but a smart bet on the less, don't force something you aren't comfortable with.
This is a situation where I will play -111.
