Hey guys - if I read the thread correctly - the odds are taken from Covers. I looked on covers but it only has the home team odds in real time - unless i'm looking in the wrong place

Even the line history only shows the home team odds - where do you guys get the visiting team odd?
For example: The "Covers" columns says the CWS odds is currenly EVEN or 100, but it does not indicate what the Toronto odds are.....unless you click on the full odds tab - but i don't think they are real time.
So which page are you guys looking at - also I assume you are only looking at the odds in the "Covers" column - correct? you are not looking at the other online books columns?

I use the MLB scores page. I know this isn't the best method for tracking odds, but it's where I found the play and yesterday I hit both plays.

THE DOG AND PONY SHOW!
1. No bet if the line is higher than -110 for either team.
Some exceptions made for -111, but I'll review as needed.
2. Wait for the line movements to stop, some times moves happen up to 2-3 minutes before game time.
3. Take the DOG
4. Avoid games where the DOG is going to sweep a series.
6/3 - Phillies - LOSS
6/3 - Brewers - LOSS
6/3 - Rangers - WIN
6/3 - Cardinals - LOSS
6/5 - Toronto - WIN
6/5 - Padres - WIN
6/6 - No plays today. Dodgers are the only play right now and filters don't support this play. It's close, but I would pass.
I personally think the RPI Giants "B" is the best pick today.

I don't know all the filters for system - but what you posted in the thread I put it in a spreadhseet and automated it. I threw in a couple of bells and whistles I had from another project - which shows the linups for each team and the starting pitcher which I get from Baseball Press.com
So basically - click the "Update Lineup" button to update the lineup for the games and click the "Refresh Lines" button to update the lines from the Covers Scoreboard page

My spreadsheet updates the odds from the Covers site as Irage does. But that being said - after clicking refresh on the spreadsheet - the LAD game fell off. But who knows - the lines move all the way to game time

Rule #3 take the DOG
Sooooo....hypothetically what is Visiting Team (WAS) is -103 and Home Team (BOS) is -103. Would the play still be WAS since the are the Visiting team and typically the visiting team is the DOG if the odds are the same.
And I assume if BOS turns out to be a home dog by game time - we would then pick BOS instead at game time . - correct?

I actually saw that too but I would assume that the play counts before the game starts and not if it already started. I placed my bet 1 minute before 7:05 and the line was still the same then. If I'm not mistaken, the line moved right after the first pitch was thrown and thus making the Marlins the dogs. On a side note matty, the lines were -105 and -101 after the first pitch and it still moved after that

This is where the system is flawed. The back tested results are based on a closing line which will adjust based on the action. There must have been alot of action before game time.
I took the Nats and Yanks.
I still think I can find value games, but I think I have just gotten lucky.
But hey the Yanks were a pure cap.
