College hoops system......give it a look

Looked at the past weeks results, one thing that stuck out was double digit dogs (I included DePaul, which made it to 10 at some books Tuesday) were 5-1 against the number. On the flip side, small dogs of 4 points or less were 4-2 against the number. Obviously, 16 games is a rather small sample size, but lets see if these trends continue.

The public loves faves, as EVERY favorite in all 16 games received >50% of spread bets, in most cases to the tune of 65-80%. You can't tell me Vegas does'nt shade the lines to take advantage of this, thus giving our doggies added value.....

Saturday 1/09; three plays in day action:

Wiscy +4
Ga. Tech +6
La Salle +12

No play on Tennessee, almost 70% of the public on Vols.

Hey Ken,

Just wondering how La Salle becomes a play???

I cant see Dayton in anyones top 25?

Yep, I also had WIS +3.5. 2 hooks so far.

Good morning all; limped home to a 4-3 Saturday, but still made a few bucks, can't complain. Today we have three plays:

Clemson +7
Penn St. +10
Illinois +10.5

Good luck today!

Y would butler not be a play? It's conference game vs top 25 and road tm favored shouldn't butler +5 be a play? Vs Villanova ?

Hey Bama, technically yes, but wagers on the game are about 50/50.
They don't tip till tonight, but if the public starts pounding Nova, then Butler definitely a play. I will check the %'s later today and see how it looks.......

its already dropped .5 gotta feeling  the line will drop more in butler favaor longer u wait i would take butler now

I thought the home team needed to be unranked. Now that I read you first post again, apparently not. I was just discounting games where both were ranked.

no mention of the home 'dog' being ranked, or un-ranked. actually these games would have to be considered top level games "nothing better than to catch an AP ranked home dog"

Nice job. BTW, using this same method but taking road team vs ranked home team is 17-14, (12-8 since Jan 3)
