The Martingale system has been breaking gamblers for years. I thought I had found the Holy Grail when I started doing this when I was about 18 years old. It did not take me long to find out. You also can't do it successfully at a racetrack because the more you bet on the favorite the less it pays. To make it work at a race track (I just heard this, I don't know if it is true) your horse has to pay at least $5.40 for you to break out even when you finally hit a winner. Maybe the back line at the craps table would be the best place to try this, that is where the best odds for the player are although still favored to the house's side. If you were playing a place that allows 100X odds you could double up on your odds bets, that is the only bet in craps that is even for both player and house. Like I said, it is a bad bet but fun to try till you hit about 5 straight losses.

I lost my ass using this system as well....nothing makes you sweat more then being on a few game losing streak....I have never been so miserable in my life until I lost a few of these games in a row.....I almost sold one of my kids to try to get my money back............LOL.....

I can't find what the system is on here, but I am assuming it is the martingale system.....let me tell you it doesn't work! If you have an unlimited bankroll and you are playing a game that has no juice then yes it would work....but who has that? I tried this last year and after only gettin up about 700 I lost $7,000 over the next 3 weeks. Cost me the rest of the season betting.

Hey, Gator, I think you are probably posting this "system" in good faith, but please end it before other people who are also new to the gambling world actually put hard-earned money on the line thinking they can't lose. Oh, and before you decide to file for a copyright, a Mr. Martin Gale has already done so( too bad he died penniless).
But all kidding aside, I suppose this is a sort of initiation into the wagering club. I admit that I thought I was going to get rich years ago using this method, and I'm guessing that a lot of Covers brothers and sisters have used it too if they would own up to it.
