Wierd. I was just going to post this system. The idea came to me a couple of weeks ago. It was like an epiphany. The odds are you aren't going to lose 10 in a row even if you tried. Even if you pick random picks you will probably win once out of every two. So, this is what you do. You make a unit equal a little bit less than 0.2% of your account, that's one fifth of one percent. That means you have a little bit more than 500 units to deal with. Then the betting goes like this: 1 unit loss. 1 unit loss. 2 unit loss 4 unit loss. 8 unit loss. 16 unit loss. 32 unit loss. 64 unit loss. 128 unit loss. 256 unit win. This makes it so that you only lose if you lose 10 bets in a row. And if you do lose 10 bets in a row (you won't), you just deposit more money into your account and try to win it back. This is playing it safe. You would have to have 51,200 of backup just for a 100 dollar initial bet. If you want a 9 bet system just cut it in half, etc. Again, how hard is it to lose 10 bets in a row? Pretty hard. And you can always deposit more money if you do lose 10 in a row.

boys--this means that either lots of people are betting on the Colts, or else that lots of money (i.e. fewer bets but large, large sums of money) is coming in on the colts (or perhaps both). Last I checked though the line was down to 8. This most likely means that at 9 there was a majority of the bets coming in on Pitt and therefore the books had to adjust accordingly to more people on the Colts (i.e. make line 8)

The Martngdale system is the best way to bankruptcy court. So tell me what happens when your on a 10 game losing streak and your next bet is over the max bet? Then what do you do? your unit $10 max bet $5000 Let's say your betting $5 units. Here is your losing streak. 5=10 10=20 20=40 40=80 80=160 160=320 320=640 640=1280 1280=2560 2560=5120 If you win any of these then you pull a $10 profit. $2560 bet, shit your pants for a profit of $10?

I think this system has potential if you do research, use systems, and make your #1 best bet of the night (whether nba, cbb or whatever). Just dont bet more or less every time. With systems and strategy teirs is no way you lose more than four in a row. Systems like the shut out play in the nfl and the running dog are 75% plays every every year. I am seriously thinking about using a similar strtegy next football season in the nfl.

I have found only one way to have some success with the Martingale System. At the roulette wheel with outside bets. The key is it has to be SHORT TERM. I leave the table when I'm up 4 units. That's it. I leave, have a beer, and go to another table. Hit 4 units 2 or 3 times and I'm gone for good. Not necessarily a fun way to gamble especially if you're with friends but has been a consistent money maker. Even short term I have had some big losers here and there. Long term the system has no chance at all.

Trust me, save your money. Like everyone I once discovered the Martingale system trying to figure out a way to beat the odds. It seems that most people think they discovered it themselves (including me). The truth is it was founded in the 18 century Paris with the roulette wheel. There is no way to beat it, you may go on a huge winning streak but it will eat up your profits and more. Progressive betting systems never work. There are some that will eat your bankroll slower like the 1-3-2 system or the 2-4-6-4-2. But the best way to gamble is sober and pay attention. Trust me I have researched this type of betting and spent a month of testing them before I realized the odds are against you no matter what.

A couple of years ago some guy was advertising a system for $15, so I bought it... it was this double-down shit. I tried to convince him it's a bad idea and ironically I was going through a bad losing streak at this time. I was in an NBA POD contest, and I lost like 10 straight and showed this guy that's it's possible to go broke with. I ended up losing 15 straight PODs before finally winning one. He just said that I'm really bad... he didn't know what to say. LOL. I'm not too bad... actually I just won 16 straight picks at wagerline's Survivor contest. Big streaks happen.

Yeah, you can have a big streak of 30 games but it only takes a streak of 10 to lose it all back with progressive betting.
