Dude I been running the same baseball system like that for about 3 years now. It can have big returns and big losses. I was trying to find a correlation between what game in a series the home team was most likely to win. I was keeping track of it but it became too timely. Right now I'm basically following it off and on. You know, trying to pick my spots when I see a potential streak ensuing. It's been going quite decent lately. Big thing is that chalk needs to win. I been mostly playing parlays out of it and stuff like that. And then maybe doubling up on game 2 if they lose game 1. I mean I have a complete knowledge of the system so I just pick my spots now. Glad to see you're up so far this year, as am I, just in a slightly different variation of the system.

In a bit of pickle right now, as CIN has lost 5 in a row at home as big chalk. Considering a deviation. Still up $2300 (23%), but have $1670 in losses on this CIN losing streak that I'm trying to clear.

I would stop here and don't sweat it. The objective is to win money. If you play this next game, you will be down money if you lose - the risk is too great. This one decision is going to ruin your whole season. If you win - it is just some more winnings but if you lose, you will have to start over. By the way, it is a long season, you'll make the money back no matter what your decision is. Good Luck. It's fun fun fun when the double up system is working.

Unlucky, what was your decision? I could sense you were agonizing over your decision. The system said to bet it but somewhere in you there was doubt. What were the key thoughts to your decision? thx

I totally screwed up on Cinci - bet one more, then cut it off, then they won. Should have either cut it off or bet all the way. This lead to a new "rule": if betting 10% of the bankroll, be committed to going all the way. No cutoffs after that point.
Anyway, after that debacle, betUS decided to cap me, screwing me out of $650 on PHI one day, and then I had to eat $1400 on BAL, although they lost their next 3 to ARZ. I was likely going to flip to ARZ, but I can't be certain.
Got all of my money out of betUS finally and into Matchbook, Greek, and BetJam.
Now up $4600, despite the big screwups earlier. On pace to get to about $10,000 up, or 100% for the season.
Some new rules for the system: 1. 10% rule - be committed or cut it off 2. No more than 3X base bet when pushing for extra winnings. Any bigger and it gets tough to follow through as the losses are big quickly. 3. Never bet more than the base when flipping to the road team. Again, gets out of hand quickly, and you second guess yourself a lot.

Been awhile since I visited this thread.

Wanted to add: betting every game every day keeps me in tune with trends. I feel really good about my analysis right now, just from looking at the daily results.

Two weeks to go. Getting hard to commit to risking a lot, which pretty much ruins the system.
Currently just under 100% for the year. We've avoided two devastating losing streaks by the Orioles by cutting them off. On one, we flipped and recovered the losses.
This system has a lot of promise, but you do have to be wise and flip to the road team sometimes and cut teams off sometimes.

Since you followed this sytem much more closely than I did (I didnt follow it all), you can probably tell me how this idea would have worked out.
What if you used the top 10 teams from the previous year like you did up until the all star break, and then at the break switch to this seasons top 10 home teams. It seems like it could kind of be like a "market correction" on this system.

Part of the reason this system works is the sheer number of wins you'll get. By cutting down to the top 10 or whatever number of teams, you're missing out on a lot of wins, yet still taking a large risk. With the better teams, you can't afford as many losses, and sometimes the good teams do lose a handful in a row. It's all about bankroll to win ratio, and you're wins would drop without really being able to drop your bankroll.
I also feel that betting every single game keeps you in tune with which teams are getting hot or cold.
