Serious Streak Survivor Strategies

I looked at this game again and couldn't believe that the O/U was 6 with a Rookie pitching and the intensity of the rivalry. I took the Over because of those factors plus it's a day in Oakland. The ball carries much better during the day. Add in Josh Reddick who is hotter than July and think the Over is the way to go for this game. Good luck to Skipspiks in his quest! 

I have never been in this position so this is just an observation on my part. Some of these guys wait a long time to make their picks and I get that, but if you're going to wait I would at least look at other possibilities along the way. Sometimes there are just overlays waiting to be picked and they get passed up for something that's more questionable. IDK maybe I'm just talking out of the side of my neck. I know that they feel pressure. I feel it every time I get to 8 and seem to have a horrible record at getting to 9. Only 1 time have I made it. So I can only imagine the pressure they feel and over analyzing the situation. I guess my point is when you do get to that point you have to be careful not to fall into the trap games. The mods on these sites are no joke and they will never make it easy for us.

A lesson can be learned from the scene over at ESPN. If legit and it seems like he is despite all the haters on his profile claiming they're going to sue and that crap. What's that about? Some people really amaze me how they can be so hateful towards a person they don't even know. At any rate he seems legit to me. I like the fearlessness he showed in making his picks. Screw the safe crap I'm going for 27! That was the attitude. I like that. So let's see what happens with it. They got a guy with 21 in a row and 0 losses climbing as well. It's going to be an interesting week.

If Portland can hold on in Soccer I will have my longest streak ever on SFTC at W12! The atmosphere at Jeld-Wen field is out of control. The fans are chanting though the whole game. Good day for Soccer with Italy-England going to a Shootout and Portland and Seattle battling in a rivalry game.

I feel sorry for Skipspiks but i had that feeling as I said this was not a good pick from the beginning for the reasons i described. It's a rivalry game and the Giants have never swept Oakland in Oakland. Great game and I live for another day with the Over/Under.

Giants were the logical pick but the logical pick NEVER wins, but losing with 1 strike to go hurts no matter what team or prop the pick is for but the longer the streak the worse it is, what a terrible way for it to end if I was going to lose I'd rahter be trailing for most or all of the game.... anything but blowing it at the very end.

I picked the Giants on SFTC not on covers as for covers survivor I'm done. I haven't gotten past 2 in so long you can't even see it on the 1st page(most recent picks) of my picks history. Today I took the Mariners and padres to go Over 7.5 because both pitchers have been awful. What happens today? They don't get anywhere near 8 runs with a 2-0 score. i feel ya Quad same here in a way  Started the month 5-0 and every since that brutal loss from the old fart Spurs in that elimination game. Im 5-11 since.   Took the punchless Mariners today FML. Gonna continue playing because its FREE game. BOL Quad

How much time do Streak Survivors spend on doing their picks?

@MRJLX I think on some other threads a couple of people have misconstrued my comments. I was rooting for Skipspiks. I root for everybody with high streaks. Hell I want to see these guys fork out the big bucks. But like we have discussed on this thread before. I understand being patient. But when you let solid games go by all week only to end up picking a game that is cloudy at best. I think you're better served going with a high percentage pick. I'm sure at the time these picks look good but I would step back and something different.

The advantage of this game as opposed to SFTC is that you have all the time to make your pick and you're not competing against anybody. Where with SFTC you're competing against other players and the clock. I have had 2 decent streaks on SFTC late in the month, just like the one that ended for me yesterday. The problem is when you late streaks you're forced into picking games that are high risk that you may not normally pick but because of the time factor you have no choice.

As we all no there is no fool proof system so tonight my new system is taking a beating. 0-2 as Tampa and Pittsburgh are going down big tonight. After going 3-0 Fri, 6-1 Sat, and 2-0 yesterday the numbers have turned today. But it's still a solid system I feel.  I don't calculate every game just a few and take the best to play. Also with this system it seems to work better on 1st and 3rd games of series. 2nd games can be hard but MRJX has great 2nd game stats so maybe that can help.

8 runs in the LA/SF game makes the under pick a loss this time I'm done picking this game is TRULY IMPOSSIBLE!
