Yeah, it sucks for Croatia but there's a chip in the ball that can sense if there's contact with the ball and, most likely, how much contact/force.

At first I thought that the offsides rule is too strict and sucks, but at the same time, it's pretty black and white - there's no wiggle room for interpreting offsides.  Period.

It takes it out of the hands of the refs calling BS like you see in the NBA/NFL, where some refs just let players maul each other, or hand out FTs for the dumbest shit.  And then the NFL deciding on a whim if they wanna call holding or PI or not since it happens literally on every play.

 I thought VAR suppose to review in real time not slow it all way down. That penalty was a joke as well they push and hold like that in every game

The offside rule in soccer needs a complete overhaul. It slows the game down and disallows goals because a player's pinky is offsides. That Croatia goal was a perfectly good goal and never should've been disallowed.
